Futu Information On August 25, the Hong Kong Observatory officially issued the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 yesterday evening. The " Typhoon Signal No. 8 " is currently in effect, and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has delayed its opening.
The Hong Kong Observatory stated that Ma'an is currently moving away from Hong Kong, and the winds in Hong Kong will gradually weaken. The Observatory will consider changing the strong wind signal No. 3 between 9 and 11 a.m. depending on the degree of weakening of the winds in Hong Kong.
When Typhoon Signal No. 8 or Storm Signal takes effect, it will have a major impact on Hong Kong, such as school closures, stock market closures, etc. According to documents disclosed by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange:
If the storm is lifted from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., the pre-market session will be cancelled. The morning trading session will resume 2 hours after the storm is lifted, and the start time must be the hour or 30 minutes.
If it is lifted after 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the pre-market session and morning trading session will be cancelled, and the afternoon trading session will start at 1 p.m. as usual.
If it is lifted after 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., the pre-opening session and morning trading session will be cancelled, and the afternoon trading session will start at 1:30 p.m.
If it is canceled after 11:30 am to 12:00, the pre-opening session and morning trading session will be cancelled, and the afternoon trading session will start at 2:00 pm.
If it is lifted after 12 noon, trading will be suspended for the whole day.
