Khmer Economic Development Party Chairman Hu Li Zhongnan said in an interview with media reporters that although the Khmer Economic Development Party did not win a seat in this election, he will not withdraw from the political arena and will not stop his political activities. He declared that the party would serve as an opposition party to protect the interests of the country and its people.
He emphasized that if anyone uses the power of policy to abuse the people, he will stand up to protect the people from the first moment. At the same time, he asked the royal government to take effective measures and punish those who abuse the people.
Hu Li Zhongnan pointed out that the Khmer Economic Development Party will not use political means of smearing, and everything the party does is to actively participate in the construction and development of the country.
According to Chinese business media, on the morning of August 7, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen posted on his official Facebook that the 6th Royal Government may be established in August this year. Hun Sen promised that in order to promote the rapid development of Cambodia, he will work harder to serve the country and the people and never let down the people's trust in the People's Party. He once again thanked his compatriots across the country for supporting the vote, which enabled the People's Party to win an overwhelming majority of votes.
