Starting from 11:59 pm on July 31st, New Zealand borders will be fully reopened to all tourists and international students! This marks that after two and a half years, New Zealand's national door, which was closed due to the impact of and new crown , has once again opened to the world!
Chinese international students can now apply for New Zealand student visas. After successfully obtaining the visa, international students can arrange their return trip to New Zealand and return to offline teaching.
Below, Study Abroad has sorted out the current New Zealand entry policy for those who plan to return to New Zealand to study. (The policy may be adjusted at any time. It is recommended that friends reconfirm the current policy before traveling to avoid problems.)
Nucleic acid negative certificate:
Starting from June 20, 2022, the New Zealand Immigration Service will no longer require immigrants from New Zealand to provide it. A negative nucleic acid test 72 hours before entry is proved.
However, it should be noted that due to my country's epidemic control measures, airports and airlines often still need to provide negative accounting certificates. It is recommended to confirm specific requirements with the airport and airlines before purchasing air tickets and traveling.
Proof of vaccination:
Currently,
New Zealand is one of the countries that recognizes the most Chinese new crown vaccines . Currently, the following Chinese vaccines are recognized by the New Zealand Ministry of Health:
- Anhui Zhifei Longcom (Zifivax/ZF2001/ZF-UZ -VAC-2001 RBD-Dimer)
- Sinovac (CoronaVac/PiCoVacc)
- CanSinoCanSinoBIO (Convidecia/PakVac/Ad5-nCoV)
- Sinopharm (Beijing) (BBIBP-CorV/Covilo/LIBP/CCIBP/CDIBP/CNBG/BIBP)
- Sinopharm (Wuhan ) (WIBP-CorV/Inactivated (Vero Cells))
- Shenzhen Kangtai ( Minhai Biotechnology ) Shenzhen Kangtai Biological Products, Minhai Biotechnology Co (Beijing) (KCONVAC/KconecaVAC/Minhai COVID-19 vaccine/BIOKANGTAI)
(The above vaccines require 2 doses of vaccination.)
The vaccination certificate must clearly show: the name of the vaccinator, the name of the vaccine received, the name of the vaccine provider, the vaccination location, and the number of each dose of vaccine Exact time. For certificates that are not in English, you need to provide the English version of and (it is recommended to go to the notary office in advance to apply for a Chinese and English notarization).
Inbound visitor declaration:
Visitors entering New Zealand by plane still need to complete the visitor declaration before departure and obtain the declaration QR code. (Completed as early as 28 days after departure.)
When filling in, you need to provide the following materials and information:
- Flight number and arrival date
- Passport information
- Vaccination certificate
- Travel and residence history in the past 14 days
- Contact information in New Zealand after entry
- Emergency contact contact information
Quarantine and testing after entry:
When completing the visitor declaration, you will be informed of the quarantine and testing requirements after entry into New Zealand. At present, the vast majority of visitors do not need to undergo centralized quarantine or home quarantine after entering New Zealand, but they still need to undergo RAT rapid antigen testing.
When entering New Zealand, you will receive a "welcome pack" at the customs office, which contains a RAT test kit and self-test instructions. Currently, two RAT tests are required, one on the day of entry and one on the fifth or sixth day after entry.
RAT test results, whether negative or positive, need to be reported according to the email sent by the New Zealand Ministry of Health. If the RAT test result is positive, further PCR nucleic acid testing is required, and the confirmed person needs to self-isolate for 7 days.
The above is a summary of the current specific requirements for entering New Zealand. Given that various countries are gradually relaxing their COVID-19 policies, it remains to be seen whether New Zealand will cancel vaccination requirements and further reduce the number of quarantine days in the future. We need to continue to wait and see the New Zealand government's subsequent policies. It is recommended that international students pay attention to the policy updates on New Zealand's official website on the new coronavirus epidemic at any time.
