At one time, an open-air movie theater was opened using the "Lighted Stadium", "Exhibition Hall", "Workers' Cultural Palace" and "People's Park".

Zhonghua Cinema (Eternal Chinese Cinema)
Nanning Zhonghua Cinema is a time-honored cinema founded in the 1930s. It was rebuilt from the Guangxi Governor Tan Mansion in January 1932. It was called the China Grand Theater at the time and was mainly used for screenings. In September 1946, it was renamed China Cinema.
In the 1930s, the Chinese Grand Theater in Nanning City, Guangxi Province, was located at West Erli of Xingning Road. It was a majestic building and could accommodate 2,000 audiences.
