According to a report by Fujian Daily on December 21, the 2022 Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit annual meeting was held in Xiamen City on the 20th. Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, sent a congratulatory letter to the Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit Council, expressing congratulations on the convening of the annual meeting on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping, and extending greetings to all members and guests of the summit.
Wang Huning said that the Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit has made important contributions to promoting cross-Strait economic cooperation, deepening cross-Strait integrated development, and maintaining peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait. It has become the most influential cross-Strait economic exchange and cooperation platform and an important channel for compatriots on both sides of the strait to work together to strengthen the Chinese national economy and realize the Chinese dream.
Wang Huning pointed out that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made strategic arrangements to comprehensively build a modern socialist country, achieve the second centenary goal, and comprehensively promote the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation with Chinese modernization. This is of great and far-reaching significance to the development of cross-Strait relations and the process of reunification of the motherland. We will fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Party's overall strategy for resolving the Taiwan issue in the new era, adhere to the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus, resolutely oppose external interference and separatism for "Taiwan independence", persist in promoting cross-Strait economic and cultural exchanges and cooperation, deepen cross-Strait integrated development in all fields, improve systems and policies that enhance the well-being of Taiwan compatriots, and persist in uniting the majority of Taiwan compatriots to jointly promote the process of motherland reunification and national rejuvenation.
Wang Huning pointed out that this summit, with the theme of "Building a new model of industrial cooperation and creating a new green digital economy", seizes the important opportunity of high-quality development of , focuses on promoting high-end, intelligent, and green development of manufacturing to promote cross-strait cooperation. It fully embodies the common desire of compatriots on both sides of the strait to work together and integrate development, and will surely inject new impetus into exchanges and cooperation between compatriots on both sides of the strait, open up new space, and bring new gains.
Wang Huning emphasized that realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation is a common cause for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It is hoped that entrepreneurs on both sides of the Taiwan Strait will be a new force in building a new development pattern, promoting high-quality development, and promoting Chinese-style modernization in the new era and new journey. Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the Fujian Provincial Party Committee, said in his speech that in the ten years of the new era, Fujian has made historic achievements and undergone historic changes in various undertakings. This was achieved under the strong leadership of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core. Guo Jinlong, chairman of the mainland side of the
summit, Liu Zhaoxuan, chairman of the Taiwan side of the summit, and Pan Xianzhang, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Governor Zhao Long, provincial leaders Luo Dongchuan, Cui Yonghui, Guo Ningning, Wu Qilin, and Zhou Lianqing attended. Lin Jun, secretary-general of the mainland side of the summit, read out a congratulatory letter, and Chen Ruilong, vice-chairman of the Taiwan side of the summit, presided over the meeting. More than 300 business people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait attended the meeting.
After the opening ceremony, Zhou Zuyi, Zhao Long and other provincial leaders met with Taiwanese guest representatives and held exchanges and discussions on deepening economic and trade cooperation between Fujian and Taiwan and continuing to promote people-to-people exchanges.
