On the top of the mountain, there is a busy scene of farming. On the other side of the village, the construction of the Furong Li sorting and processing center and e-commerce display center in Wanglin Village has been basically completed and will be put into use soon.
"In the past, plums in our village were sorted under iron sheds on the roadside. This time, taking the Gantang Township National Agricultural Industry Strong Town Demonstration Construction Project as an opportunity, and with the strong support of the government, we built a new sorting center and processing center in the village to further promote the standardization and branding of the hibiscus plum industry." said Hu Guangyao, secretary of the Party branch of Wanglin Village and director of the village committee.
A small plum, a big industry to increase income. Gantang Township has beautiful mountains and clear waters and a suitable climate. The hibiscus plums produced are popular in the market because of their large and delicious fruits, juicy core and small size. In recent years, driven by the party committee and government of Gantang Township, the hibiscus plum industry has been expanding outwards based on Wanglin Village. The hibiscus plum planting area in the township has reached 16,000 acres, covering more than 2,000 households in all 17 villages, with an output of 23,200 tons, and an output value of the entire industry chain of of 4.42 billion yuan.
