Li Dacheng's project attempts to reproduce the museum's diorama, but without using studios and models, Li Dacheng used real people, their livestock in real rural, Mongolian desertified land. Li Dacheng created pastoral style backgrounds and printed the images on billboards.
Then he aligns the billboard with the horizon of the actual landscape. By doing so, Lee conveys the reality that the lives of Mongolian nomads take place between their disappearing landscapes and museum spaces.
