"Nine-in-One" election on the island has ended. The Democratic Progressive Party, which holds high the political slogan of "anti-China and Taiwan", has only retained five seats in the traditional advantageous areas of the southern region among the 21 county and city mayor seats, which can be said to have suffered an unprecedented defeat. Tsai Ing-wen, who refused to recognize "11 Consensus " after taking office, also announced her resignation as party chairman due to the DPP's defeat in the election. This situation also fully proves that the drama of the DPP authorities inciting cross-strait confrontation to gain political self-interest has been seen through by the Taiwanese people, and they all chose to use votes to express their inner dissatisfaction to the DPP.

However, the Taiwan authorities did not learn from the election crushing defeat. Less than a week after Tsai Ing-wen resigned as chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, she once again manipulated the "anti-China" issue and ordered that starting next year, all universities on the island will not be allowed to choose mainland brands when applying for funds from the authorities to purchase communication products. According to " Taiwan Strait Network ", the ban issued by the DPP authorities not only requires that the colleges use computers, copiers, monitors and other equipment that cannot choose mainland-made products, but also requires that the campus rents places, including smart vending machines, are not allowed to use mainland-made products. For mainland products that were purchased and used before, they are required to be replaced in the shortest time.
The reason used by the DPP authorities is the so-called "investment and security issues", which is equivalent to telling the people on the island that any product made in the mainland may leak their information. This method seems very familiar. The United States has previously suppressed high-tech companies such as China Huawei , and the reasons for using it are similar. There is no essential difference between the two, they are both suppressed for the sake of suppression. The only similarity is that this malicious behavior will not have much effect.

Take the United States as an example, and has fought with China for several years. During this period, it also encouraged major allies to "decouple and break chains" from China. However, the result was that the domestic inflation was severe, and the American people were the ones who were most injured in suppressing Chinese companies. Moreover, in a speech at MIT, U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen recently, he said that the United States does not seek to decouple the economy of China and the United States, and must continue to do business with China, and trade with China will support the U.S. job market.
As for the so-called ban by the DPP authorities, it is even more unbearable. There have been many similar things before. In 2020, it asked major administrative agencies on the island to stop using communication products made in mainland China. In August this year, it also expanded the ban, claiming that all communication products used in public places, including advertising boards, electronic screens, broadcast equipment, etc., cannot use mainland products.

In theory, after several rounds of bans on the island, if they can be actually implemented, they can basically completely kick mainland communication products out of Taiwan. But not long ago, when Tsai Ing-wen attended a fireworks party, it was revealed that hundreds of drones flying on her head, , were used by mainland companies' products. Moreover, since Tsai Ing-wen came to power, she has been yelling that Taiwan must get rid of its dependence on the mainland. However, the fact is that the growth rate of cross-strait trade volume is increasing year by year, and Taiwan’s economic dependence on the mainland has not decreased at all.

. After the election was defeated, the DPP authorities once again issued the so-called "mainland product ban". It was just that the thief was desperate and attempted to exaggerate the "threat" of the mainland to Taiwan to gain more support. Before the "nine-in-one" election, the DPP, who knew the unfavorable situation, had already begun to promote the voting rights of people over 18 on the island. It can be seen that the DPP has regarded this group of people as a future voter. Now it will go deep into the universities on the island, which may be preparing for the 2024 election.
However, no matter what the DPP authorities have, it will never succeed in the end. After the "nine-in-one" election, the public opinion on the island is already very clear that cross-strait peace and stability are the pursuit of the Taiwanese people. The DPP authorities provoked the "anti-China" issue and created political manipulation of cross-strait confrontation, which would not have any effect at all.
