Although Niu Chengze still argued that the two sides had a good impression of each other and denied sexual assault, the High Court believed that his behavior constituted the crime of compulsory sexual intercourse, so he upheld the sentence of 4 years in fixed-term imprisonment. After appealing to the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court still rejected his appeal, and Niu Chengze determined to be imprisoned.
