Qin Liangyu, whose courtesy name is Zhensu, is Miao people. He is from Zhong County, Chongqing. He is a famous female general in the late Ming Dynasty.
Qin Liangyu came from a scholarly family. His father, Qin Kui, was not only knowledgeable, but also proficient in military tactics. When Qin Liangyu was young, he followed his father to learn literature and martial arts with his two brothers. He was extremely brave and wise. He was not only good at riding and shooting, but also good at writing. Even his two brothers admired him very much and were willing to give him a disadvantage. By 1595 AD, Qin Liangyu, who had a gentle and elegant attitude, chose his favorite man Qiancheng by competing for marriage. Qin Liangyu's husband Ma Qiancheng was a descendant of Ma Yuan, General Fubo of the Han Dynasty. He inherited the envoy of Shifu Xuanwei, namely Shifu Tusi. After marriage, Ma and Qin couples were very loving. They selected generals and trained soldiers together. Due to strict discipline and clear rewards and punishments, they created a white-rod soldier that made the enemy terrified.
In 1599 AD, Yang Yinglong rebelled, Ma Qiancheng was ordered to quell the rebellion, and Qin Liangyu was responsible for escorting food and grass. After more than a year, Yang Yinglong was defeated and died, and the rebellion was quelled.
In 1613 AD, Ma Qiancheng was falsely accused by eunuch Qiu Chengyun for refusing bribes, and later died of illness in Yunyang Prison. After Ma Qiancheng's death, because his son Ma Xianglin was young, Qin Liangyu took over his husband's position and continued to serve as chieftain. Qin Liangyu endured the pain with tears in her eyes, put justice first, and never had the intention of rebelling or being unjust to the court.

In 1618 AD, the Ming army was defeated in the Battle of Sarhu, and Liaodong was in a hurry, and the Ming court hurriedly recruited elite troops to aid Liao. Qin Liangyu, who was 44 years old at the time, heard the news and led the "Baigang Soldier" north with his brothers and sons, and he was awarded the title of third-rank official. In the battle of Shenyang, Qin Liangyu's brother died in battle and his son was shot in an arrow in his eyes. Qin Liangyu led the "White-Steel Soldier" to fight bravely and killed thousands of Qing soldiers. The Eight Banners Army was shocked. From then on, the "White-Steel Soldier" became famous all over the world. After winning the battle, the court appointed Qin Liangyu as the chief general and general of Shanhaiguan.
Due to the heavy damage of the "White Rod Soldier", Qin Liangyu knew that the more difficult battle was still behind, so she returned to her hometown and stepped up the recruitment to facilitate the fight again.
In 1630 AD, the Eight Banners Army detoured by Xifengkou and besieged Beijing. Qin Liangyu carried his troops on a starry night and took the lead in fighting. Finally, with the joint efforts of the king-stricken army, Huang Taiji was forced to retreat.
In 1644 AD, Zhang Xianzhong wanted to attack Sichuan. Qin Liangyu, who was 70 years old, personally led his troops to defend him. Due to his reputation, Zhang Xianzhong's troops did not dare to invade Shiquan.
In 1648 AD, Emperor Yongli appointed Qin Liangyu as the crown prince's tutor and Sichuan recruitment. In the same year, Qin Liangyu died without illness. Later, the Qing army entered Sichuan and ordered that Qin Liangyu's tomb should not be damaged.
