Brazil shares closed higher on Friday, with gains in the Finance, Public Facilities and Basic Materials sectors leading shares higher.
When Brazil closed, the Brazilian IBOVESPA stock index rose by at 2.35%, hitting a six-year high.
Brazil's best performing stocks in the IBOVESPA stock index were Companhia Siderurgica Nacional (BVMF:CSNA3), up 6.05% (0.81 points) and closed at 14.19. Meanwhile, Grupo de Moda Soma Sa (BVMF:SOMA3) rose 5.48% (0.73 points) to close at 14.06; Gol Linhas Aereas Intelligentes SA Pref (BVMF:GOLL4) rose 4.56% (0.43 points), and closed at 9.85 at the end of the trading session.
The weakest stock on the market was MRV Company (BVMF:MRVE3), which fell 7.18% (0.72 points) and closed at 9.31. Yero (BVMF:CIEL3) fell 1.69% (0.10 points) to close at 5.80; Tim Mobile (BVMF:TIMS3) closed down 0.95% (0.12 points) and quoted at 12.57.
Brazilian São Paulo Stock Exchange 607 stocks rose, exceeding the number of stocks that closed lower - 341. At the same time, 52 stocks have not risen or fall, basically the same.
