According to Taiwan's "Central News Agency", giant pandas "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" are about to turn 13 this year. Taipei City Zoo nurses celebrated their birthday on the 29th and presented their own exclusive special cakes.
The giant pandas "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" who have been from mainland China to Taiwan for 9 years have birthdays on September 1 and August 30 respectively. They will turn 13 years old this year. The nurseryman chooses to help them celebrate their birthday on the 29th, and follows the examples, and digs hard to prepare special cakes and send birthday wishes.
Zoo spokesman Cao Xianshao said that after "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" came to Taiwan, compared with the lifestyle of wild giant pandas, they usually have their own living spaces, with almost zero interaction, and can also be called "Cowherd and Weaver Girl". Every year, it is the peak period of "Yuanyuan" in estrus, and they have the opportunity to meet.
Cao Xianshao said that the golden childbearing age of female giant pandas is 5 to 20 years old. Although "Yuanyuan" gave birth to " Yuanzai ", there has been no news on his belly. The nurseryman still let "Tuantuan" and "Yuanyuan" train their hind legs every day. He looks forward to seeing each other next year, being in love with each other, and successfully passing on the family line.
This year's special cake is based on the portraits and names of "tuantuan" and "yuanyuan". The ingredients include bamboo leaves, steamed buns, carrots, pineapple, sugarcane, and grapes, which are all the ingredients that the two giant pandas love to eat.
