From October 5th to 7th, the 2022 Meizhou Youth Men's Football Echelon Elite Competition, hosted by the Municipal Sports Bureau and hosted by the Municipal Sports School, was successfully held. 12 teams from the three age groups of four key football counties 09, 10 and 11 participated in the competition. It is reported that this is the first high-level youth football event held in Meizhou this year. On the premise of doing a good job in normalized epidemic prevention and control, the competition will be managed in a closed manner. The event is held to implement the requirements of Meizhou's new ten-year plan for revitalizing football, to discover, transport and cultivate more outstanding football seedlings, to fully prepare for the Provincial Games, and to accumulate more outstanding talents for Meizhou football.
Meixian District Amateur Sports School coach Cai Guilong said that this competition has improved a lot compared with previous years' selection competitions, and the level of the contestants is higher. "I hope that the Municipal Sports Bureau and Municipal Sports School will host more such activities, so that young players can also have more opportunities to exercise."
