Previously, she was forced to resign because of an improper relationship with a female subordinate, and nearly a hundred nude photos of her were circulated on the Internet.
"Since these photos appeared, I have shed more tears than I thought... I left because of a misogynistic culture that enjoys my nude photos, using my sexuality to keep my ex-husband abused me, and this time the whole country is watching," Hill said in his resignation speech.
reported that on October 23, the House of Representatives Ethics Committee launched an investigation into Hill, believing that she had an extramarital affair with a male employee in violation of Congress rules. In addition, two media outlets revealed that Hill and her husband maintained a relationship with a female campaigner for about a year and released several nude photos of Hill.
In response, Hill admitted her relationship with a female campaigner, but strongly denied her extramarital relationship with her male subordinate. Hill said she was divorced from her husband who was married for nine years, which was a revenge, and that her ex-husband was an "abuse" and was insulting her as much as she could.
In addition, Hill also classified the matter as a political struggle. She believes that Republican agents posted those private photos in order to use the matter as a bargaining chip for political benefits. Hill said that publishing private photos without consent is an invasion of privacy and she will fight for it.
It is understood that Hill, 32, was elected as a member of parliament in 2018.
