4. Rail vertical bars standard standards stipulate
1. Preface
1.1 This standard is formulated to standardize the height standards for building protective railings and ensure safety, applicability and environmental protection.
1.2 This standard guideline applies to all new, expanded and remodeled design projects.
1.3 In addition to complying with this standard, building protective railing projects should also comply with the provisions of the current national standards.
The main references were made during the compilation of this guideline:
1. "Uniform Standards for Civil Building Design" GB 50352-2019
2. " Building Design Fire Protection Code " GB 50016-2014 (2018 edition)
3. "Residential Design Code" GB 50096-2011
4. "High-rise Civil Building Design Fire Protection Code GB50045-95 (2005 edition)
2. The railing height standard stipulates
According to the provisions of the residential specifications of the "Uniform Standards for Civil Building Design":
2.1 The airside height is below 24m and
When the airside height is below 24m, the railing height should not be lower than 1.05m.
2.2 The airside height is 24m or above
When the airside height is 24m or above, the railing height should not be lower than 1.1m.
2.3 Open atrium railing height
2.3 Upper roof and transportation, commerce, hotels, hospitals, schools and other buildings should not be less than 1.2m.
3. The standard for the bottom of the railing stipulates
According to the provisions of the residential specifications of the "Uniform Standards for Civil Building Design":
3.1 When the bottom surface has a pedalable part with a width greater than or equal to 0.22m and a height lower than or equal to 0.45m, should start from the top surface of the pedalable part. According to the normal step situation, it is easy for people to step on and stand and look at it.
△Holved railing
△Solid railing
3.2Railing in public places High 0.1m from the ground, should not be left empty. (Avoid preventing items from falling and rolling, causing objects to fall from high altitude)
4. The standard for railing vertical rods
According to the provisions of the "Uniform Standards for Civil Architecture Design" and the "Code for Architectural Design of Nursery and Kindergarten":
4.1 Adult railing size: The net distance between railing vertical rods should not be greater than 110mm.
△The net distance between vertical rods of adult railings
4.2 Children's railing size: The stair railing should adopt a structure that is not easy to climb. When vertical rods are used as railings, the net distance of the rods should not be greater than 90mm.
△Net distance between vertical rods of children's railings
According to the "China Reference Standard for Growth and Development of Children Under 7 Years (2009)" issued by relevant departments, the average height of 4-year-old children is 101 cm and their hands are stretched upwards at 120 cm.
Through data analysis, the Huajian Technology Society team found that among the ages 0 to 5 (preschool children), climbing and falling accidents occurred more frequently. In terms of age, the age group of 2 and 3 years old is more curious and has no judgment on danger.
html Babies over 34 years old can climb items 65~70cm tall. To prevent climbing over the railing, no items should be placed on the ground larger than 60cm outside the railing.
4.3 Anti-climbing Rail Design:
Children's fingertips cannot be grabbed on the handrail at the top of the railing, which has a certain effect on hindering climbing.
Reference: The upper limb length of a 4-year-old child is 402mm, 5-year-old child is 431mm, and 6-year-old child is 479mm.
For example: the width of the top armrest at the railing is 60mm, so the child cannot touch the top gripper.
The upper part of the top handrail should be bent or tilted on the inside. Even if you want to climb the handrail, your body will tilt to the inside, hindering children from climbing.
