This man who "created miracles" won the Kaohsiung , which had been ruled by the Democratic Progressive Party for 20 years more than a year ago, and then directly won the "general election". More than a year later, he stepped down in disgrace and became the first "major" in Taiwan to be dismissed.
Han Yu's personal success or failure may be insignificant, but his "roller-roller"-like ups and downs are a clear explanation of the absurd characteristics of "Taiwanese democracy".

When Han Kuo-yu was elected mayor of Kaohsiung in 2018, he received more than 890,000 votes, and the number of votes for this revocation reached nearly 940,000. Why did the people in Kaohsiung "turn" the second time?
Han Kuo-yu switched to the "general election" a few months after becoming mayor, which has been proven to be a mistake. When he won the Kaohsiung mayoral election and was full of popularity, many people called him "up to the next level". It is also common for human nature to be in a dilemma when facing temptation.

Han Kuo-yu's municipal performance is actually not bad. There have been heavy rains in Kaohsiung recently, and the water in the road can recede in 2 hours. This has improved significantly compared to the days when water accumulates for several days. It is also in sharp contrast to the 5,000 "sink pits" appearing on the road surface under Chen Ju's rule.
Ma Ying-jeou's office said on the 6th that the Kaohsiung Municipal Government's team has made significant progress in water control, road construction, epidemic prevention, bilingual education and other aspects over the past year and a half, and has made significant progress compared with the DPP's "rule" period. Now it can no longer serve Kaohsiung citizens, which is "very regretful".
However, Taiwan’s elections are always more emotional than rational, and the DPP is best at playing with emotions and creating hatred. This time, the DPP has focused on Han Kuo-yu's "betrayal" Kaohsiung, amplifying the resentment of Kaohsiung people and finally knocking Han Kuo-yu down.
At the beginning, Han Kuo-yu aroused the hope of Kaohsiung people with his "making a fortune" and inspired the unwillingness of Kaohsiung people with his "Kaohsiung is old and poor"; now, longing is replaced by resentment, and municipal achievements are not important, and revenge is the main theme of the "Democratic Carnival".
After "stop South Korea", Kaohsiung will hold a large-scale by-election within a few months, and the 2022 county and city mayor election will begin by the end of 2021. Between 2018 and 2022, the city has experienced 5 large-scale elections in total. In addition to the waste of money, the "winner" is obviously not Kaohsiung.

Darkest moment
"Stop South Korea" farce is a rare "darkest moment" in Taiwan's election history.
In order to "chasing" Han Kuo-yu, the DPP first invisibly supported the "Stop Korea" group behind the scenes, claiming that "Stop Korea" is a "citizen movement" and "will not participate". Finally, it simply jumped on the stage and used up all administrative resources to "urge votes" without any hesitation. The ugly appearance is shocking.
There are many operations in the "Selection and Resistance Case" that violate the "Selection and Resistance Law" on the island, but Taiwan's "Supreme Administrative Court" rejected Han Kuo-yu's application to stop the execution of the "Selection and Resistance Case" four times. The "Zhongsheng Election Association" that should have been neutral also gave the green light to the "Stop Korean Case" all the way: it is difficult to raise voting venues during the epidemic. Li Jinyong, chairman of the "Zhongsheng Election Association", ordered the campus and administrative agencies to lend the venues, saying, "I won't lend my head to you."
Taiwan's epidemic epidemic command center said on the eve of the voting that "those with fever can go out to vote under appropriate protection." Chen Shizhong, head of Taiwan’s health department, said bluntly: “Let those who are quarantined at home go out to vote."
In addition, the Taiwan education department sent a circular to universities, emphasizing that holidays must be taken so that teachers and students can vote; the Taiwan transportation department promoted Taiwan Railway to remind employees to vote; the Taiwan defense department postponed the admission examination of the defense university to facilitate the candidates' voting; the "Stop Korea" group used the legal department logo of the Taiwan authorities to promote the "Stop Korea" propaganda, and the head of the legal department said, "If you can forgive, forgive me." When Han Kuo-yu called on the people to "not vote, only monitor votes", the Taiwan "Police Director" shouted that "there are underworlds to help Han Kuo-yu monitor votes, resulting in the people not daring to vote"...
3 days before the voting, Tsai Ing-wen, as the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party, passed the proposal of Shen Fahui, a member of the Standing Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party, calling on Kaohsiung citizens to "exercise the right to remove the voting citizenship and jointly decide the future of Kaohsiung City" on June 6.
It turns out that the people The "democratic value" mentioned by the Progressive Party is the value of killing opponents by any means. From the "two bullets" that conceals the world to the private use of public tools and open fire, the "Ao Step" of the DPP's election has become increasingly uneven.

The biggest surprise of "Slaying South Korea" this time was the fall of Kaohsiung City Speaker Xu Kunyuan and died. At the same time, the DPP and green camp supporters are also going to take the blame on the dead and sprinkle salt on the wounds of the living. DPP Taipei City Leung Man-jie posted online that "Is there a big gamble?", implying that Xu Kunyuan committed suicide after losing the underground bet on "Stop South Korea" by "Stop South Korea".
There are such DPP and such green camp supporters. How can Taiwanese society not intensify the tearing and accelerate the sinking?
During the "Stop South Korea", Han Kuo-yu always responded in a low-key manner, emphasizing municipal priority, and not mobilizing "South Korean fans" to vote against it. The Democratic Party also did not have obvious countermeasures. Only the top leaders made some "supporting South Korea" statements, cooperated with the publicity of Kaohsiung's municipal achievements, giving people the impression of "only being beaten but not fighting back".
Taiwan's recall Measures stipulate that the number of votes that agree to the recall is greater than the number of votes that disagree and the number of votes that agree to the election reaches 25% of the number of votes that agree to the election. The difference between the winners and losses of the elections on the island is generally not big. As long as you can manipulate hatred, it is not difficult to mobilize 25% of the votes to remove the votes.
If this is the case, will the Democratic Progressive Party, which tastes the sweetness, behaves as usual? Will the Kuomintang, who is tragically abused, take revenge in anger? "Stop South Korea" is likely to open Pandora's box. What is placed in front of Taiwan is probably deeper tearing and opposition and endless waste and idleness.
