Hengdong County seal industry began in the 1960s and 1970s. After the reform and opening up of , the earliest generation of seal artists from Hengdong traveled around the world and went to cities across the country to promote Hengdong seals. Up to now, more than 70% of the country's seal materials have been produced, processed and sold by Hengdongren, and their products have been exported to more than 20 countries including Japan, , Malaysia, , etc., with an annual output value of over 3 billion yuan.
seal industry is essentially a kind of inheritance culture, and things with inheritance will eventually return to the original place where it develops. Starting around 2016, some seal companies that have made a world of seals in cities across the country began to return to their hometown Hengdong and settled their factories in villages where they once set out. And in 2021, the Hengdong Seal Industry Chamber of Commerce was registered and established, with about 200 registered members (home). This is the first self-discipline organization established by Hengdong Seal Industry. They plan to implement industry self-discipline and formulate relevant standards. At the same time, it is recommended to increase the introduction, cultivation and support of leading seal enterprises to promote the development of the seal industry.

Hengdong County Party Committee and County Government attach great importance to industrial development, firmly establish the concept of "projects are king", and do everything possible to carry out investment promotion work. In order to accelerate the development of the seal industry, County Party Secretary Tan Jianhua and County Party Deputy Secretary and County Mayor Jiang Chonghua have conducted on-site research on industrial development many times to provide decisions for the implementation of the project.The County CPPCC even regarded this proposal as a key proposal for the CPPCC this year. "We have done a good job in handling the proposal of the seal industrial park project, mainly doing the following three aspects. As of now, the negotiations on the contract terms of the seal industrial park project have been completed. The project signing is immediately started, and the company registration, project establishment, land leasing and other work have been started simultaneously. The land leveling and pole line relocation will be carried out, and the project start-up stage will be entered.
