In English class, do you like your teacher to only use English when teaching, or do you use both English and Chinese? An English magazine invited middle school students to express their opinions on this topic. Please refer to the key points given, choose a teaching form, and write an English essay based on the question "How do you prefer your English classes to be taught? In English only, or in both English and Chinese?"
Teaching Form 1: Use only English
Advantages: Helps to improve listening and speaking abilities, etc.
Advantages: Helps to improve listening and speaking abilities, etc.

2. Reference vocabulary: atmosphere
Full score sample:
I prefer my English classes to be taught only in English because it is helpful for us to improve the ability of speaking and listening in a very short time. I have strong interest in English study and foreign culture, so I’d like to be totally immersed in the atmosphere of English so that I can quickly make progress. That’s why I prefer total English. However, since we are all English beginners, it’s really hard to understand all that the teacher says. Sometimes we need Chinese explanation. So my viewpoint is that we are taught not only in English but also using Chinese as a minor way to explain things that are hard to understand.
Writing guidance:
This article is very successful in writing. Language and sentence structure are the biggest features of this article. The use of vocabulary in good words expresses the author's meaning in a complete and accurate manner, thus reflecting the importance of vocabulary; secondly, the sentence structure of this article is mainly complex sentences, and the use of expressions, attributions and adverbial clauses is very well-established.

A group dancing competition will be held in our school and the monitor calls on everybody to take an active part in it. While most of my classmates are still hesitating whether to participate, I have said yes to our monitor with great pleasure.

Dear editor.
I am an active girl, and I speak and laugh loudly in the classroom, like a boy. I don’t care about small matters. On the contrary, my neighbor, the girl who sits next to me, speaks quietly and dare not do the things I often do. I can understand this.
What I can’t stand is that she often gets angry with me about small things. How can I get along with her?

Besides, helping each other is also very important for both of you. Just share happiness and sadness with her. And I believe she will understand you in time and it is certain you two will be good friends in the future. Good luck to you. Yours,
Editor
Writing guidance:
English letters are generally divided into two types: business letters and personal letters, and written expressions are generally required to write private letters. It includes five parts, namely the letterhead, title, text, conclusion and signature, as follows:
1. Letterhead: The address and date of writing of the sender, written in the upper right corner of the letter. Note that the way of writing place names in the Chinese is different from that in Chinese, and they should be written from small to large; the way of writing dates is also different from that in Chinese, not written under the signature, but under the address of the sender. In habit, people use American English to express themselves, that is, month, day, year, month, day and year are separated by comma , and try not to abbreviate the month, such as june 8, 2009; while British English expressions are day, month, and year, and do not use comma to separate them, such as 8 june2009.
2. Name: In one line, written in the top line. Commonly used titles: dear sir/madam/manager/editor/friends/bob, and commas are usually used after the title.
3. Text: The main part of the letter is the text of the letter. The text is written on the next line of the name, aligned with the first word after dear. The text usually includes three parts, namely the beginning, the purpose and the end. Commonly used in the beginning of the text: thank you for your last letter asking about...; I’m glad to.... The ending of the text is part of the text, often starting with another line. The commonly used endings are: I’m looking forward to your reply; thanks and all the best; best wishes; wishing you a pleasant journey.
4. Conclusion: The ending is different from the ending of the text. It should be written on the next line of the ending, located in the lower right corner of the letter, and used a comma after it. Commonly used conclusions include: yours sincerely/faithfully/truly; sincerely/truly yours; yours, etc.

Writing guidance:
1. Master the characteristics of written notification
Writing notification means expressing the content of the notification in writing. Its characteristics are: the wording is more rigorous, the sentence structure is more complicated than the oral notification, especially some non-predicate verb phrases (such as using infinitives to represent the purpose, etc.) and clauses (such as if clauses, when clauses, so that clauses, etc.).
2. Memorize the written notification format
is different from oral notifications. When written notifications are expressed in written form, they have their own fixed format: for example, the notification should have a title (usually notice or Announcement) at the beginning, and the title is the main text. After the main text, there should be the unit for issuing the notification (usually written in the lower right corner) and the date for issuing the notification (usually written in the lower left corner).
3. Pay attention to the difference between oral communication
Oral notifications generally have opening terms (Ladies and gentlemen, Boys and girls, etc.), while written notifications usually do not use these opening terms; sentences used to attract the audience's attention (such as May I have your attention, please? / Attention please, everyone. I have an announcement to make. / Be quite. There is something important I have to tell you. etc.) are usually not used in written notifications; that's all. Thank you very much.
4. Memorize the written notifications and the oral notifications. Although there are many different expressions of written notifications and oral notifications, some expressions (such as asking the listener not to be late, welcome someone to participate in certain activities, etc.) are common, but sometimes the wording may be different (the wording of the written notification may be slightly more formal). For example:
oral notice: Everyone should be there on time. Be sure not to be late. Please be present on time.
Written notice: Everyone is required to be present on time.
Oral notice: Be sure to attend it on time.
Written notice: Everybody is expected to attend it on time.
In addition, the following words of written notice should also be noted:
All teachers and students are required to… (All teachers and students must...)
Notice is hereby given that…(This is notified…)
Our school / The Student Union will / is going to hold…
A lecture will be given at 7:00 this evening in…
5. Remember written notification tense
Like oral notifications, written notifications are also mainly in the future. For example:
The students of Senior Grade One will go to Jingshan Park on May 4.
We will climb up the hill and have a picnic on the top of it.
After that we will visit the famous botanical garden nearby.
On July 22, Saturday, we will visit the following places — a school or a hospital.
We will be divided into four groups and each group can visit one of the places.
