Xinhua News Agency, Tashkent, October 29 (Reporter Cai Guodong) The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan announced the final vote count results of the presidential election held recently on the 29th. Statistical results show that Mirziyoyev, the current president and presidential candidate nominated by the Liberal Democratic Party, won the new presidential election with 80.12% of the votes and was re-elected as president for a term of five years.
Chairman of the Ukrainian Central Election Commission Nizamkhojaev said at a meeting held by the committee that the number of voters registered in this presidential election reached 16.21 million, and the turnout rate exceeded 80.4%. Among the other four presidential candidates, Alishel Kadyrov, nominated by the Democratic Party of "National Rejuvenation", received 5.48% of the votes, Maksuda Varisova, nominated by the People's Democratic Party, received 6.63% of the votes, Bakhrom Abduharimov, nominated by the "Justice", received 3.39% of the votes, and Narzulo Obromorodov, nominated by the Eco-Party Party, received 4.14%.

Uzbekistan presidential election voting was held on the 24th. During his campaign, Mirziyoyev proposed to achieve the goal of US$34,000 per capita GDP by 2030. The government's future work focus is on poverty alleviation, developing a green economy, reducing taxes and fees, and strengthening housing construction.
According to the Uzbekistan Constitution, presidential elections are held every five years and the president’s re-election shall not exceed one term.
