1. Progressive dysphagia
After suffering from esophageal cancer, the patient will experience dysphagia. This symptom is not very obvious in the early stage, but it only occurs occasionally when eating some solid food.
patients will obviously feel that the food is very slow during the swallowing process and has a certain sense of retention. However, these symptoms do not occur when swallowing liquid or semi-liquid foods and softer foods.
These symptoms are intermittent and can subside on their own, but they will recur and gradually worsen.
As the disease progresses, patients will feel obvious choking when swallowing some semi-liquid food, or even drinking water, and even find it difficult to swallow food directly.

2. Discomfort in the throat
A series of discomforts in the throat are also very obvious symptoms after suffering from esophageal cancer.
In the early stage of the disease, even if the patient does not swallow food, there will be a burning, dry and tightening feeling in the throat.
This is a phenomenon caused by congestion in the folds of the esophageal mucosa.

3. Repeated cough
After tumors grow on the esophageal site, the trachea will be compressed, causing the patient to have some irritating dry cough.
Once the tumor compresses the recurrent laryngeal nerve, it will cause the patient to have symptoms of choking and hoarseness while drinking water.
In addition, during the growth process of tumors in the esophageal tract, the surface will be necrotic or ruptured, which will form an esophageal tracheal fistula, which will lead to repeated coughing of the patient.
, especially when eating some food and moisture, the symptoms of choking cough will be particularly obvious.
IV. Poststernal pain
Most patients with esophageal cancer do not experience particularly obvious poststernal pain in the early stage. However, if it is ulcerated esophageal cancer, it will have symptoms of poststernum pain in the early stages.
This pain is generally acupuncture-like pain or burning-like pain. This symptom will be slightly relieved after proper drinking water. However, if the pain symptoms worsen, it means that esophageal cancer has entered the middle and late stages.
