A tanker loaded with 30 tons of gasoline hit a guardrail on the expressway. Due to the damage to the tank, the gasoline kept flowing out, which was very dangerous.
At around 16:00 on August 29, the command center of the Xiayi Brigade of Shangqiu Fire Rescue Detachment received a report that an oil tanker hit a guardrail on the direction of Lianhuo Expressway and leaked. After receiving the alarm, 20 firefighters rushed to the scene to rescue in five fire trucks.
After the fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene, they learned that the oil tanker contained 30 tons of gasoline, and the pipeline at the bottom of the tank was damaged and leaked. If not dealt with in time, the consequences will be unimaginable.
After understanding the situation, the fire rescue personnel immediately launched a disposal. First, they cooperated with the highway traffic police to alert the scene, blocked the road surface of one kilometer of the accident point, and all the disposal personnel at the scene adjusted their mobile phones to flight mode.
Then, five firefighters used flowering water guns to dilute the leaked gasoline around the tanker to prevent accidents (as shown in the picture).
During the rescue process, firefighters contacted the manufacturer's technician and dispatched an empty tanker truck to transfer gasoline from the accident tanker truck. During this period, the Xiayi County Fire Rescue Brigade established a can inverting team. The brigade leader Tian Han deployed the handling process of the can inverting and repeatedly reminded the commanders and fighters to pay attention to safety.
18 at 55, the empty tank truck arrived at the site, and the tank pouring team and technicians carried out tank pouring operations on the remaining gasoline. During the process of turning the tank into transporting gasoline, two firefighters were always kept diluted and covered with water guns.
21:09, the can was poured out, eliminating major safety hazards on the site, and then the firefighters cleaned the road surface on the site. After the disposal is completed, the on-site hand over to the transportation department for further disposal.
Fire department reminds: Once a flammable and explosive oil leak occurs, all fire sources and power sources should be cut off. After the personnel are away from the leakage area, call 119 to call the police in time.
