Public information shows that the Astronaut Brigade is the backbone of my country's manned space flight. It was established in January 1998 and has selected a total of 21 astronauts. In 2003, my country's first manned space flight mission was successfully completed and was awarded the honorary title of "Hero Astronaut Brigade" by the Central Military Commission. Since then, many manned space flight missions have been successfully completed, achieving a series of major breakthroughs such as multi-person and multi-day, space out of space, rendezvous and docking, and mid-term in-orbit residence of astronauts.

From 2003 to 2008, Shenxingyun led manned space flight crews to Jiuquan Satellite Launch Base three times, successfully completing the Shenzhou 5 , Shenzhou 6, and Shenzhou 7 flight missions. In November 2003, the Central Military Commission awarded the brigade the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut Brigade".
The second captain of Fei Junlong, China's first batch of astronauts

Fei Junlong, born in May 1965, joined the army in June 1982, is from Kunshan, Jiangsu. In January 1998, Fei Junlong joined the People's Liberation Army Astronauts Brigade and became China's first batch of astronauts.
According to China Radio International, during the Shenzhou V mission in 2003, Fei Junlong was selected for the 5-man list, but ultimately did not enter the 3-man echelon. Although everyone is mentally prepared to not be elected, Fei Junlong is still very disappointed after learning the result.
Fei Junlong regards " Shenliu " as his next goal. During that time, Fei Junlong often stayed in the training simulator and was familiar with the flight procedures and operating procedures. Later, as soon as he closed his eyes, he could think clearly about the locations of all the instruments and electric doors in the cockpit; Fei Junlong could recite the thick flight operation manual, and in special circumstances, he could handle it without reading the manual.
In January 2005, the Astronaut Center completed the preliminary selection of the Shenzhou VI mission flight crew. Fei Junlong ranked first in the preliminary selection and successfully entered the mission crew.
At 9:9:52 on October 12, 2005, the Shenzhou VI spacecraft was launched. With this as a sign, the second step of China's manned spacecraft project was officially launched, and space science practice/experiment with real participation in people has begun. Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng have historically become flight crews with their comprehensive and excellent qualities.

Nie Haisheng, native of Zaoyang, Hubei Province, was born in September 1964, and joined the army in June 1983. In June 2014, he was appointed as the captain of the Astronaut Brigade of the People's Liberation Army of China. He is currently a special astronaut of the Astronaut Brigade and has the rank of professional and technical major general. He was once the pilot director of the Air Force Aviation Division headquarters, and flew safely for 1,480 hours and was rated as a first-class pilot of the Air Force. In January 1998, he was selected as one of my country's first batch of astronauts.
According to Xinhuanet , Nie Haisheng will carry out Shenzhou 12 manned flight mission starting from June 17, 2021. As of September 6, 2021, Nie Haisheng has become the first Chinese astronaut to be in orbit for 100 days!
Nie Haisheng performed the Shenzhou VI manned flight mission from October 12 to 16, 2005, and the Shenzhou VI manned flight mission from June 11 to 26, 2013, and was awarded the title of "Hero Astronaut". On June 17, 2021, Nie Haisheng carried out a manned flight mission of Shenzhou 12. On September 17, the Shenzhou 12 return capsule landed safely at Dongfeng landing ground .

Jing Haipeng, born in October 1966, from Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, joined the army in June 1985. He is currently the captain of the astronaut brigade of the People's Liberation Army of China.
