According to the Russian TV today (RT) website on the 10th, Rep. Paul Gosar, a Republican U.S., called on Washington to stop aid to Ukraine, believing that the aid was used to fund a conflict that the United States "should not have been involved in." RT reported that many Republican lawmakers in the U.S. Congress have condemned the Biden administration's "open checkbook" for Kiev.

Gosar posted on social media on 10th local time saying, "Don't provide foreign aid anymore, especially don't fund a war that we shouldn't have been involved in. Biden and his criminal family may owe Zelensky , but the United States does not owe him anything."
RT report pointed out that Gosar is a staunch anti-interventionist and a member of the informal "America First" caucus among the Republican members of the United States. He is also one of the most intense critics of the Biden administration's Ukrainian policy. In May this year, Gosar voted against the US bill to provide $40 billion in military and economic aid to Ukraine, and last month voted against the US appropriation bill to provide another $12 billion in aid.

After the bill was passed, Gosar tweeted, "At home, Hurricane 'Ian' has made the Americans lose everything. The border is open, fentanyl is killing thousands of people, inflation is raging. However, the left and the right wing of the ruling party have just voted to send another $12 billion to Ukraine? This is more like the 'last American policy."

RT reported that Gosar claimed that Biden's "criminal family" owed Ukrainian President Zelensky's statement may refer to the views of some conservatives in the United States who believe that Zelensky helped Biden win the 2020 presidential election because Zelensky had previously rejected the request made by former President Trump , that is, the Ukrainian authorities reopened a corruption investigation into a Ukrainian energy company in which Biden's son serves as a high-paying director.
Russian media also pointed out that Gosar is not the only Republican lawmaker calling on the two parties in the United States to stop providing funds and weapons to Ukraine. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican, said last week that U.S. aid to Kiev "killed thousands of people and significantly pushed up the cost of living around the world." Another Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz tweeted on the 10th that it was not worth risking the threat of a nuclear war to "maintain Ukraine's status as an international money laundering holy place." (Editor: HHJ)
