As the epidemic gradually slowed down, the obligation to wear masks for more than 50 people gathering outdoors was lifted from May 2 this year.
According to the Department of Disease Management, the peak period of infection caused by the Omicron BA.5 mutant virus has ended, and the virus regeneration has also stabilized. Therefore, after comprehensive consideration, the Department of Disease Management will also announce the complete lifting of the obligation of people to wear masks outdoors today (26th).
Disease Management Department pointed out that lifting this obligation does not mean that you can wear a mask at all without wearing it. It is only possible to watch various sports events and performances outdoors, except for attending large-scale gatherings, weddings or physical education classes. It is also recommended that people with suspected symptoms, high-risk groups, and those who are prone to spread by droplets to avoid the risk of infection.
