Wang Ge is known to most audiences because in 2016 he played the role of "Mouse" in the popular online drama "Yu Zui", which was the first film and television drama he took on after two years of stage performances. Afterwards, he played Meng Xiaopang in the movie " Animal World ", Lu Datou in " Galaxy Tutorial Class ", bath center reception in "Rampant Crowd", and rescued people in distress in " Peak Explosion ". His previous experience on the stage gave Wang Ge a kind of confidence, giving him strong ability to adapt to the scene. Sometimes, the plot in the script is finished, and the director does not shout for a jam. At this time, the performance cannot be stopped. It is necessary to continue what the characters do under the prescribed circumstances. Wang Ge enjoyed this performance that was separated from the script because the performance at that moment was charming.
"Children are good opponents"
After reading the script of "The Great Events in Life", Wang Ge particularly liked it. The theme was rare before and the characters were also very humane. He felt that at the beginning of the story, Wang Jianren was like a housekeeper, who was in charge of all kinds of miscellaneous things, including shrouds, which he did. After Xiaowen (played by Yang En) appeared, Wang Jianren was like a "mom", helping Xiaowen tie her hair and take care of her diet and daily life.
is a challenge for many actors, but it does not cause too much trouble to Wang Ge. He has the ability to get along with children. One month before the start of the filming, Wang Ge and other actors came to Wuhan to read, rehearse and pre-film the script. On the first day of reading the script, I met Xiaowen's actor Yang Enyou. He quietly said to her, "I'm here to be your first friend in the crew, okay?" The child was very happy.

In the play, Wang Ge (left) plays Wang Jianren and Xiaowen (played by Yang En) have many rival scenes. (High is Liu Lu )
Wang Ge will think about the problem from the perspective of a child, "When filming in such a large crew, they are all adults, and her role is so heavy, she must be nervous, so she must relax at this time." Wang Ge said that when communicating with children, you should stand from an equal perspective with her and take out your innocent side. Children’s sense of faith is innate, just like playing house, saying that I am a doctor now and want to treat you, they will really believe it at that moment. Therefore, when an actor acts in an opponent with a child with a strong sense of belief, emotions will be brought in and can better stimulate their true reactions. "They are actually good opponents." Wang Ge said.
. In the movie "Peak Blast" released last year, Wang Ge and Zhu Yilong had a collaboration. At that time, Zhu Yilong played a disaster relief blaster, and Wang Ge played a rescued person who was in distress underground. "The Big Events in Life" is the second collaboration between the two. They spent nearly a month before filming, so they became more tacit. In the
film, there is a quarrel scene where the two have a strong emotional conflict. It was filmed at night. In order to ensure the sound effect, the air conditioner in the room was not refrigerated, and the room was very stuffy. When the show was going on, the two needed some physical conflicts, and Wang Ge wanted to press Zhu Yilong to the ground. During the rehearsal, the two of them were already sweating profusely and even a little dehydrated. Wang Ge remembered it very clearly. When he was shooting the first one, the two wrestled together. Wang Ge kept pressing Zhu Yilong's head down and exerted force. Zhu Yilong fought against him and kept exerting force. His head was very close to the door frame and he was almost hit. After the first one, the two of them didn't stand up for a long time.

As a partner of "Going to Heaven", Wang Ge and Zhu Yilong have many rival scenes in the film.
"This is the second time I act in my hometown dialect"
Wang Ge was born in Nanning, Guangxi. It was a city with mixed dialects. He grew up listening to Mandarin , Cantonese , Nanning vernacular , Zhuang and dialects in the Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan region. Under the influence of the eyes, the seeds of various dialects remain in their memory.
In the original script of "The Great Events in Life", Wang Jiangren, played by Wang Ge, speaks with the Northern Languages. Wang Ge thinks that since he is filming in Wuhan, should he learn Wuhan dialect and let the character become a local Wuhan person. But I rehearsed several times at that time, but the results were not particularly ideal. So in the end, he used Nanning Mandarin in the film, a bit southern tone. This is exactly the feeling that director Liu Jiangjiang wants. The four members in "Going to Heaven" each have different accents. The third brother speaks Wuhan dialect, Xiaowen speaks Sichuan dialect , Bai Xue speaks Northeast dialect , and Wang Jianren speaks Nanning Mandarin. The four people who are neither blood nor geographically related, but finally form a family.

The four protagonists in "The Great Events in Life" each speak different accents, but eventually become a family. (From the left of the first row: Liu Lu, Yang Enr, and from the left of the second row: Wang Ge, Zhu Yilong)
In the scene of "The Emperor's Funeral", Wang Ge has a few remarks: "The mountains and rivers are shaking, and the sun and the moon are gone", which is the only line in his film that does not use Nanning Mandarin. This contains his understanding of the role: "Wang Jianren is performing on stage at this moment, which is definitely not his most comfortable state, so he will make some exaggerated treatments."
"The Great Events in Life" is Wang Ge's second time in Mandarin in his hometown. The first time was in the movie "Animal World" directed by Han Yan . In the film, Wang Ge plays a desperate gambler. Finally, he turns around and finds that all his previous information is fake, even his accent is disguised. This is a design for the characters by directors Han Yan and Wang Ge.
This film is Wang Ge's first big screen work and his first drama to be asked not to speak Mandarin, which is very uncomfortable. Although it is a language that he is familiar with, Wang Ge received four years of training in college to correct Mandarin, work assignments assigned in school, and perform on stage after graduation, and have few opportunities to speak in dialects. "Suddenly there is a drama that almost always uses dialects, and you will not find the fulcrum, which is contrary to your experience." For Wang Ge, it was a small challenge.

The movie "Animal World" is the first work that Wang Ge appeared in his hometown dialect.
"Leaving the performance outside the script, it is more charming"
When Wang Ge was a child, his father worked in Hong Kong for a while. Every time he went home, he would bring some Hong Kong movies and Cantonese song discs, which was very impressive. That kind of disc is as huge as an old record, but it disappeared later and turned into a DVD. At that time, he watched a lot of movies starring , Stephen Chow , , Weekly Runfa , and , Jackie Chan . "I think the movie is so beautiful and I want people to get close to you. When I was a child, I told my mom that my dream is to be a director." Wang Ge told the reporter of Beijing News . When he took the college entrance examination, he chose to apply for an art school. Without systematic preparation, I asked the teacher to correct the Mandarin. He liked singing when he was a child. He often attended school parties in high school and had some experience in singing on stage. At that time, he applied for , Communication University of China, and he could apply for three majors, so he chose the director major, acting major and drama literature major. After the exams of the three majors, his performance major was better.
After going to school, Wang Ge was very interested in comedy and felt that he was good at it. However, after studying in depth, he found that all types are actually based on the soil of realism. "As an actor, only by laying the foundation of realism can he better complete other things." Wang Ge said.
In the few years after graduation, Wang Ge has been active on the drama stage, starring in "Salted Egg", "The Past of Northeast China" and "Hello, Madman! 》 "Idiot" and other works. In his opinion, the drama stage is a gas station for actors. The actors can directly face the audience's feedback on the stage, and the energy they receive is timely, "the whole body and mind will be more full." He was very glad that he spent most of his time on the stage at that time, giving himself a lot of certainty, and laying a solid foundation for the performance.

The previous years of experience on the stage allowed Wang Ge to develop strong on-site adaptability. Photo provided by the interviewee
Sometimes, after the plot performance of some films and TV dramas is completed, the director does not shout for a card, and the performance cannot be stopped. He must continue the prescribed situation and do what the characters will continue to do in this situation. Years of polishing on the stage have given Wang Ge a strong ability to adapt to the scene. Even if the story in the script ends, many of the characters' actions and lines will naturally emerge.
There is a scene in "The Big Event in Life". The third brother went to Bai Xue to discuss the marriage and then adopt Xiaowen. At this time, Wang Jianren, played by Wang Ge, came out wrapped in a bath towel. Originally, the bath towel was wrapped around Wang Ge's belly. After taking a few photos, he felt that it would be a little cuter to wrap it up and to the chest. This one is very effective, and the on-site staff did not expect it.
The following plot is that Bai Xue told the third brother that since he was knocked out, he would confess that we have already obtained the certificate. The camera shakes up and shows Bai Xue and Wang Jianren's smiling faces, the same as those on marriage certificate . This scene, the plot in the script ends here. But the director did not call for a card, and the actor continued to act. Zhu Yilong improvised: "It's really good, I'll bother you, let's go first." Wang Ge also improvised, "Don't sit down and have some food, drink, skewers..." Wang Ge enjoyed this kind of performance that was separated from the script, but in the prescribed situation, the performance at that moment was charming.
"Recently obsession is to act in Jin Yong's works"
Wang Ge has liked cooking since he was a child, and this has become a part of his life. He felt that the cooking process was actually quite complicated. Each step must be considered well, and the time and heat must be controlled, which is very similar to creation. You must immerse yourself in it. If the final product is delicious, everyone will feel that it tastes good and they will also feel accomplished.
Wang Ge said that he has reached a stage of filming with the flow and there is no need to force it. If I asked him what role he wanted to play the most, he would be able to say it immediately, but now I can't think of it in my mind. It seems that some of the roles he particularly wants to play seem to have played. For example, he played a firefighter in the movie " Shocking Rescue ", which he had never thought of before. "Maybe my current obsession is to be able to star in Mr. Jin Yong's works." Wang Ge said that he has not acted in ancient costume works so far, and if he has the chance, he would like to try it. When he was a child, he had read many martial arts novels by Jin Yong. "Every work and every character of Mr. Jin Yong can be digged deep. Even the bags that are different from those who are talking about in "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" are very exciting."

Wang Ge is a person who is relatively nostalgic but does not reject trends. He will spend time researching areas of interest to him and keep an open mind about some trendy things. He feels that as an actor, you must always learn to empathize with .
