Wang Anshi was an outstanding writer in the Northern Song Dynasty. He studied hard when he was young and was full of ambition to serve the motherland. After entering the officialdom, the poet worked at the grassroots level for a long time, and had a deep understanding of the sufferings of the people, and was more aware of the many contradictions between various classes. Although he had the opportunity to implement his proposal later, he eventually failed due to various reasons.
Wang Anshi retired to Jiangning after a second time and built a house at the foot of Zhongshan. Although poets in his later years took fame and fortune indifferently, they still had a lot of concern. This poem was written in the eighth year of Yuanfeng of Emperor Shenzong of the Song Dynasty. At that time, Wang Anshi was already in his twilight years. One day he woke up from a nap and the spring was moving, so he wrote this poem.
Mr. Jing lived in a quiet life in his later years, reading, writing and organizing materials at home. Once, Su Shi specially came to visit the old man from a distance and had a great conversation with each other, which not only relieved his past grudges, but also enhanced his feelings. They discussed life and discussed poetry, but after Su Shi left, Jing Gong was very reluctant to leave.
After that, Wang Anshi also often reflected on his merits and demerits in his life. Although he was filled with emotion, many things were irreversible. During the lunch break one day, the poet was still lying quietly on the pillow as usual. He had a poor sleep at night and hoped to make up for his sleep during the day. When he was sleepy, he felt that the bamboo mat had turned into a slowly flowing wave, which was very comfortable. When he woke up, he saw that the shadow of the flower had already projected onto the curtain hook.
The author points out the time and events in the first two sentences, describing what he saw before and after waking up from the dream. "The wavy flows" refers to the wavy pattern of the lying mat, and also refers to the bamboo mat as cool as water, which makes people feel very comfortable. " on the curtain hook " conveys the long lunch break. The sun is direct at noon and the shadow of the flowers is very short. It only covers the curtain hook after the sunlight moves westward.
The word "化" is subtle and expresses the poet's surprise at his own dream, and also describes the poet's wonderful time enjoying the lunch break from the side.
The next two sentences are very intriguing, " peeks at people and birds call melodious dreams, and the mountains provide melodious sorrows ." Neither birds nor green mountains have human emotions, but the poet projects his love and hate to them.
After Jing Gong woke up, he heard the birds singing, but he suspected that his good dream was awakened by it. When he looked at the sound, the bird seemed to be peeping. The green mountains across the water come into view, as if passing on the sorrow of the flowing water to the poet, which makes people feel very annoying and helpless.

Jing Gong may be in a powerful and drastic way in his dream. He has used what he has learned throughout his life to realize his youthful ideals. But after waking up from the dream, I still face the standing green mountains, flowing water slowly, and took away the watery years.The bird seemed to have guessed the poet's thoughts and kept calling, which made Mr. Jing extremely irritable.
