Hebei Light Industry College
(1958-1968)
Our school was founded in 1958 and was named Hebei Light Industry College. It is one of the first four light industry universities established in my country, and is affiliated to the former Ministry of Light Industry of China.
When the school was founded, our school’s main disciplines were food, papermaking, fermentation and light chemical machinery. In 1959, the main faculty and laboratory equipment of the pulp and paper major of Tianjin University were transferred to our school, becoming the main force of the major of our school. In 1964, while the Ministry of Light Industry made major adjustments to the subordinate colleges and universities, the fermentation engineering major of the former Beijing Light Industry College (now Beijing Business University ) and the plastic molding and processing major of the former Wuxi Light Industry College (now Jiangnan University ) were successively transferred to our school, thus laying the foundation for the school's light industry discipline and major layout.

Chen Guofu , the founder of my country's cellulose chemistry and Chinese chemistry history research, an expert in papermaking discipline, authoritative research on cellulose and Taoist Tibetan studies, a pioneer and pioneer of my country's arms industry, film industry and light textile industry, has rigorous academic research and tireless teaching, and is highly praised by teachers and students and widely praised as a model of teacher ethics.
Mr. Jin Peisong is one of the founders of industrial fermentation in my country, an authoritative microbiology and a modern fermentation expert. He once sacrificed his life alone to protect hundreds of bacterial strains for the country from being plundered by the Japanese invaders, and was awarded the National Medal of Victory. After liberation, he was received by Chairman Mao Zedong and other party and state leaders.
Mr. Dai Renze, a nationally renowned beer expert, has served as the executive director of the Fermentation Engineering Research Association of the China Food Association.
Mr. Huang Yukun, the founder of salt education in my country, graduated from Kyushu Imperial University in Japan in 1936.
Mr. Xiao Lianbo, who is the earliest pulp and paper expert in my country, the founder of papermaking majors, and a first-class national professor.

1 On July 2, 2019, Mao Zedong and other members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee received a group photo of all representatives of the National Conference of Advanced Workers of Salt Industry Transportation and Sales. Some of the representatives were cadres and technical backbones trained by our school from 1953 to 1955. During this period, our school trained 480 salt industry cadres across the country.1 On November 27, 963, Mao Zedong, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping and other party and state leaders received a group photo of representatives of the Third Congress of the National Microbiology Society. The arrow in the picture refers to Mr. Jin Peisong, a famous microbiology expert in my country and a professor at our school. The leaders of the Party and the state have successively visited some teachers and alumni of our school or wrote inscriptions for the school. Zhang Lichang, Li Shenglin, Dai Xianglong, Xiao Huaiyuan, Xing Yuanmin and other previous and current city leaders have visited our school for inspection.
On May 15, 2013, the national leaders inspected the economic operation in Tianjin and shook hands cordially with the former principal Comrade Cao Xiaohong after the symposium on the work report of the leaders in Tianjin.
On September 11, 2014, the national leader inspected our school’s professor Li Xihong founded the enterprise Tianjin Luxin Low Temperature Technology Co., Ltd.
