Tianjin Nankai District was established in October 1952. It was originally named District 7. It was officially named Nankai District on January 1, 1956. It was renamed to Dongfanghong District in 1966-1968 and has been renamed Nankai District since 1968. The district government is located in Changhong Street, (Yellow River Channel), located in the southwest of Tianjin City, with 12 streets under its jurisdiction.

1, Nankai School’s former site - a national key cultural relic protection unit. was built in the 30th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1904) and is located at No. 20-22, Sima Road, Nankai District. It has four buildings left in the South Building, East Building, North Building and Ruiting Auditorium. The building is a two-story brick-and-wood building with a sloped roof. The facade is decorated with blue bricks and red bricks. The main entrance on the first floor is protruding and has square windows. The second floor of the building has continuous Romanesque arch windows and simplified Ionique column arches.
2, Tianjin Guangdong Association – a national key cultural relic protection unit. The old town of Tianjin is only a few dozen meters away from the Drum Tower. There is a quiet, quaint and charming traditional building. This is the Guangdong Guild Hall. It is the most complete, largest and most exquisitely decorated Qing Dynasty Guild Hall building in Tianjin so far.
3. Drum Tower - has a history of more than 500 years. It is called Drum Tower, but it is actually a bell tower.The current building is rebuilt on the basis of the original site. The brick city has a Ming-style seven-coupon seven-volt pot bottom arch on all sides, and a through-heart door hole. The white marble city gate stone is restored above the four arches, and the words Zhendong, Anxi, Dingnan and Gongbei are still engraved. The new clock has an increased volume and is 2,000 mm high, which means it was made in 2000.
4, Zhuangwang Mansion - located at No. 82, Baiti Road, Nankai District, and was originally the Li Chun 4 Family Hall of the Jiangxi Governor of the Beiyang Government. According to research, its predecessor was Prince Zhuang's Mansion in Beijing, which is an authentic royal palace-style building. As the only ancient building complex with the color of the Qing Dynasty royal family except Beijing, it is known as the "Little Forbidden City in Tianjin" and the "Tianmenzhuang Prince's Mansion".
