Below the prayer statue is a pool of water. In fact, the entire park is run through the waterway, and there is a "peaceful spring" in the middle of the park. The prayer statue stands a tower of cranes on both sides. People fold their prayers for peace into paper cranes , and present the paper cranes into the tower, or leave a bottle of water to express their condolences and pray for peace.
