On August 5, 2022, the high-speed EMU, tailor-made for Indonesian Ya (Garda) Wan (Long) high-speed rail, was launched in Qingdao, Shandong. The seats of the EMU are divided into three colors, namely gray, red and blue. The crimson red of the first-class seat comes from the red flag of Indonesia, the blue and gray of the ordinary seats come from the beach culture of Indonesia, and the color of the VIP seat comes from the world-famous Borobudur pagoda in Indonesia.
For most Chinese people, most of their understanding of Indonesia is limited to Jakarta and Bali, but if you want to truly understand Indonesian culture, Yogyakarta is the first choice, because Yogyakarta is the birthplace of Java culture and is the most cultural and artistic ancient city in Indonesia. Borobudur pagoda is in Yogyakarta. At the exit of Yogyakarta Airport, you can see a giant Borobudur pagoda promotion poster.
Borobudur is located in Central Java Province, Indonesia. It is a Mahayana Buddhist pagoda ruins, 40 kilometers northwest of Yogyakarta City. It is the largest Buddhist building in the world in the 9th century.
Borobudur pagoda was built around 842 AD and was built by the rulers of the Sharentra Dynasty who ruled Java at that time. At the end of June 2012, it was confirmed by the Guinness World Records as the largest Buddhist temple in the world today.
The name "Borovtu" probably comes from the Sanskrit word "Vihara Buddha Ur", which means "a pagoda on a hill". Later, due to the nearby volcano eruption, the stupa group sank and was hidden in dense tropical jungle for nearly a thousand years, and was not cleared until the beginning of the 19th century.
Indonesia is a Pacific island country with frequent volcanic activities. The strong volcanic eruption not only buried the Borobudur pagoda, but also annihilated the glory of that period of history. Today's pagoda is restored by cultural relics and archaeologists based on historical materials. A "gravel" display area has been opened on site to store stones that do not know where to settle in the pagoda.
According to records, the original Borobudur was built with about 2 million stones, with a total of 9 floors, six floors below, four square, and the high corridors are covered with stone carvings. The three floors above are round, and there are 72 pagodas on the circumference. Each pagoda has a Buddha statue.
Although it has experienced thousands of years of storms and volcanic rage, the majesty of the pagoda still exists today. If you are in it, you can still feel the ancient cry.
