Japan has been making frequent small moves recently, provoking China one after another. After the so-called "island-grabbing exercise", the official of the Japanese Ministry of Defense's unified staff supervision department once again tweeted in Chinese. On the same day, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe clamored that "there is an accident in Taiwan" is "the accident in Japan".
December 1, Japan General Staff Supervision Department stated in Chinese on Twitter that Japan Self-Defense Force carried out amphibious operations in the 2021 Self-Defense Force Comprehensive Exercise conducted between November 19 and November 30. The tweet also stated that in order to protect the lives and property of Japanese people, it is very important to improve the island's ability to prevent attacks. The Japanese Self-Defense Force will further develop joint combat capabilities and continue to gather sea, land and air forces. This time is the second time that Japan has tweeted in Chinese in 2021.
Under this tweet, the Japan General Staff Supervision Department also included photos of the Ground Self-Defense Force's Water and Land Mobile Regiment. The Ground Self-Defense Force's Aquatic and Land Mobile Regiment has about 2,100 people, proficient in amphibious operations, and is planned to be deployed in Kyushu or the southwestern islands, and is specifically responsible for island capture. It is the amphibious force under the Ground Self-Defense Force, which was added in 2018 based on the " Defense Plan Outline " announced by Japan in 2013. However, the equipment level of this army is relatively poor, with only mortar , AAV7 American amphibious vehicles, conventional infantry firearms and other equipment.
It is reported that the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Forces Water and Land Mobile Regiment held an amphibious three-dimensional control exercise on November 25, and nearly 100 Water and Land Mobile Regiment soldiers participated in the drill to occupy the coast. Before this force landed on the coast, the mine warfare unit of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force carried out mine sweeping operations, and the Self-Defense Force ship and aircraft also carried out attack exercises in advance. Japanese media said that this is Japan's preparations for the People's Liberation Army's operations near the Diaoyu Islands, and the Japanese Ministry of Defense and Self-Defense Forces are strengthening their so-called "defense capabilities."
On the same day that Japan posted Chinese Twitter, former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who had previously hyped up the Taiwan issue many times, also came to cause trouble. On December 1, Abe participated in a forum held by the so-called "National Policy Research Institute" think tank in Taiwan. During the forum, Abe delivered a speech on "Taiwan-Japan relations". Abe claimed that the mainland must realize that Taiwan is only about 100 kilometers away from the so-called "Japanese territory" such as the Diaoyu Islands and Nagu Island. If the mainland takes force against Taiwan, Japan will also be seriously threatened. "What happens to Taiwan" is "What happens to Japan" and "What happens to Japan" is equivalent to the "Japan-US alliance". In fact, the United States has never promised to send troops to "defend Taiwan."
In his speech, Abe also expressed support for Taiwan's accession to Regional Trade Agreement , joining WHO , joining Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement , claiming that Taiwan has such "qualifications". In addition, Ampe also advocated his "achievements", claiming that when he served as the Prime Minister of Japan, Japan's defense budget and armament continued to increase, and there are currently 147 most advanced F-35 stealth fighter . Moreover, the joint military exercises held by Japan and the United States each year have increased from 20 to 49.
Abe has never been settled since he stepped down in 2020. As soon as he stepped down, he hurried to the Yasukuni Shrine to "worship ghosts", which caused protests from many countries, and then stirred up the Taiwan issue several times. After returning to politics in 2021, Ampe has been constantly building momentum on the Taiwan issue to gain an advantage in the intra-party political struggle of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan. It is reported that Abe recently plans to visit Taiwan in 2022 to contain the policies of the current Prime Minister 1 Kishida Fumio and the Foreign Minister of the "Chinese-Knowing" Lin Fangzheng.
The spokesperson of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has long made it clear that the Diaoyu Islands and their affiliated islands are China's inherent territory, and that Japan's illegal acts of infringement of China's sovereignty will be resolutely cracked down on it. Taiwan is also part of China's territory and will never allow outsiders to be involved in it. Anyone who dares to re-take the old path of militarism and challenge the bottom line of the Chinese people will surely be exhausted.
