Asus launches PCE-AX58BT, a desktop-based PCI-Express network adapter that provides Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connections. This adapter provides theoretical maximum bandwidth for Wi-Fi 6E (6 GHz) and Wi-Fi 6 (5 GHz) at 2402 Mbps, with bandwidth up to 574 Mbps at Wi-Fi 6 (2.4 GHz).
PCE-AXE58BT supports the speed of 1733 Mbps under the earlier 802.11ac specification and supports up to 300 Mbps under 802.11n. The network controller also supports the latest WPA3 security standards.
PCE-AX58BT is connected to the desktop computer via a PCI-Express x1 slot and an included USB 2.0 connector cable (required by Bluetooth components). A pair of external antennas are fixed to a magnetic base and can be placed on a table or on a PC case.
Although Asus did not mention the controller model, from the parameters, it is likely to be the Intel AX210 Gig+. It is located under the aluminum heat sink for the M.2-2230 card on the add-on card main PCB.
said that the product price or release time information was not disclosed. But we know Asus is preparing a combination of Wi-Fi 6E consumer network hardware, including the upcoming ZenWiFi PRO router.
