From June 19 to 26, according to the arrangements of Xinyang City Judicial Bureau, the assessment work of the Municipal Lawyers Association's assessment committee for the first phase of 2018 was successfully concluded. After strict preliminary written review, written test, interview and other procedures, 39 interns who applied for lawyer practice successfully passed the assessment, and 16 people were extended for failing to pass the written test and interview assessment.
In order to ensure that the assessment work of applicants for lawyers is carried out strictly and orderly, the Party Group of the Municipal Justice Bureau attached great importance to it and made specific arrangements at the special meeting, requiring the Municipal Lawyers Association to strictly control the "entry gate", refine the assessment process, and improve the assessment procedures to ensure that the assessment work is open, fair and just.
The written test was attended by 55 intern lawyers who passed the written review. After the exam, the scores were announced immediately and 9 intern lawyers failed the written test. Then, in accordance with the principles of objectivity and fairness, the candidates elected representatives were randomly selected from the Xinyang City Internship Assessment Expert Talent Base.
The interview assessment is chaired by the Municipal Lawyers Association, and the director of the Municipal Justice Bureau and the business department participate in the full guidance. The assessment procedure is carried out in accordance with steps such as self-introduction, on-site questions, judges’ review of internship records and work documents, and intern lawyer defense.
