I am Yang Jinlong, a police officer of Weng'an Court. On January 12, 2018, I was stationed in Yanjiang Village, Jiangjiehe Town, Weng'an County. During the process of staying in the village, there are joys and sorrows. What is worrying is how to do your best to help the people solve problems, and what is joyful is seeing the satisfied smiling faces of the people. I also came to the countryside and knew the sufferings of rural life, so I thought that during my stay in the village, I could do my best to do good and practical things for the people, so that they could live a better life. This was also my original intention when I was stationed in the village.

There is a special farmer in my grid. All their children go out to work. There is only an old woman over 60 years old at home. When picking up tiles, the craftsman threw half of the tiles on the ground and broke them. The old man was anxious and called me and said, Comrade Yang, they are not picking up tiles, but demolishing the house. It is obvious that half of the tiles can be used, but they throw them all away. I feel distressed when I see them! After receiving the call, I came to see them with other comrades, first suspending their tiles, and then asked the old man to sit together to persuade you. The old man, the tiles must be replaced with new ones. If you think half of the tiles can still be used, then we can also suggest that they use them as much as possible. I know that the old man is reluctant to let go because they have come from the hard days of the past and don’t want to waste it. After persuasion, the old man agreed to continue the construction.

While picking up tiles at her house, whenever I have time, I will come to her house with other colleagues to check the progress of the project. I often remind the construction workers that the elderly are alone at home, so you have to be serious. The elderly are old and cannot get into the house. During this period, in order to complete the work as soon as possible, we all went to the street to fried rice and brought it to eat together.

tile was picked up, painted, and boards were ordered, but the old man began to worry about how to clean up the broken tiles all over the yard. My colleagues and I said nothing, and picked up the old man's broom and shovel. After several hours of hard work, we swept the broken tiles on the yard floor into piles. At the same time, we also contacted the construction boss. The boss also trustedly found a tractor and dragged the broken tiles away. After several days of cleaning, the old man's house was completely renewed.

When I passed by her house again, her eldest son happened to be back these days. Her eldest son suffered from cerebral infarction and was inconvenient to move. When he came back, he saw that we had done so many good and practical things for the elderly, and he was very happy. He told me that I wanted to replace the wires with new ones, but I could not go up the stairs for my physical reasons. I said that after I understood the basic direction of the line, I carried the ladder alone and started slowly along the wall line by nailing it. A few hours later, the line was changed. When I was down the ladder, his eldest son came over and handed me a cigarette and said, "Thank you for your hard work, but you did so many things for us." I really don't know how to thank you." I said this was due. I saw that it was almost 7 o'clock. My colleague in the village called me and said that I was going to be at the resident. I was about to tell the old man that he would take off his bag, but I found that the bag was heavier than when he came. When I opened it, I saw that there were more than a dozen cooked eggs inside. When I was about to take it out, the old man came over and held my hand and said, "You have done so much for my family's work, and now cadres are so hard, so what if you eat a few eggs." Seeing that the old man was firm in his attitude, I just said with a smile, thank you, this is what we should do, and I also feel that my work has been recognized by the masses. After that, whenever we passed by her house, she always asked us to sit at home.
