MLB China told Lazy Bear Sports that the logo was updated in early 2019 and has been applied to the new season.

"We want to think further about the MLB brand. After conducting in-depth research and comprehensive consideration of the development of the brand, we believe that logo colors sometimes represent everything fans want to feel, so we use colors that are consistent with the American flag." Anne Occi, vice president of MLB design services, explained the new logo design.

According to SportsLogos, while the MLB Baseball League has also developed a brand new font - MLB Bullpen.
