On October 18, the 2020 "Panda Cup" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Baseball and Softball League Game and Slow-Boot Softball League Game both ended successfully.


Since 2019, the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Baseball and Softball League" event will be held every year. From 2019 to 2021, the National Sports Administration's national sports and leisure characteristic town "Zhongshan International Baseball Town", adopts a model of government supervision and market-oriented enterprise operation. The event was named "Panda Cup" by Guangdong Panda Sports Culture Industry Co., Ltd. 1 million yuan is invested every year and operated for three years in advance.


This game is divided into two stages, October 6-8 and 17-18. It is divided into four categories: baseball U12, U15, U18 and slow-shot softball. There are 22 from 9 major cities in Macau and the Bay Area. Teams participate. After fierce competition in four groups in two stages, Zhongshan team won the U12, U15 and U18 championships in baseball, and Shenzhen team won the slow shot softball championship.


This year's Greater Bay Area Team has developed significantly compared with last year, with a new U15 group added. This event will be further upgraded starting next year and will be renamed as the "Panda Cup" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Baseball and Softball Championship The slow-throwing softball league will be promoted from a junior game to an all-round event for all ages, and plans to add college group baseball, adult amateur baseball or softball.


Baseball and softball is the strongest international and commercial team sport. It has a century-old history in China and has a good development foundation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Baseball and Softball Tournament is not only a grand event for the continuous development of baseball and softball events in Guangdong Province, but also a new starting point for promoting the integrated development of baseball and softball games in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao, and an effective tool for building a vibrant Bay Area.
