Today I would like to introduce my small "good" house. It actually took nearly three years from buying the house to formal decoration (in the meantime, I left my house aside because I was busy with other client cases)
When I first saw this space, although the indoor area was only 14 pings, it actually had a large terrace of nearly 4 pings, and the external view was not blocked by buildings. Although there was no beautiful mountain view or sea view, the view was great. There was plenty of light in the open space, so I immediately decided to buy it.
Although there is no beautiful scenery outside the house, the height I chose happened to be above the 6th floor, so it is higher than the house in front, so the convection of light and wind is great.
On the original floor plan, the original state of this space is actually not that square. What I have been thinking about is not how to make a dazzling design, but how will I use this space when I live in it?
Just like every time I plan a client's home, I keep imagining how the client will use, move, and live in this space.
This will then affect the layout and circulation configuration of my design, so I feel that I am In this space, I spend most of my time lounging on the sofa, and I love taking a bath (to relieve stress after a busy day at work). Also, I want to have a large dining table on which I can work and entertain friends.
It can be clearly seen from the concept map that we have almost completely opened up the indoor space. Each space actually has more than two combined functions, especially after operating so many small square footage spaces.
I often tell my clients: If the space is small, we should try to keep the space as open as possible. Even if we need to deal with privacy issues, we can actually use design techniques to combine it with
. When one person is in this space, it can be fully open, and when two people are in the space, it can be fully open. When there are more than three people, there are different sliding doors or shielding devices. Buying a house in Taipei is difficult Every square foot/centimeter has to be carefully considered.
Therefore, in terms of design configuration, I first broke the original frame and removed the partition walls that had no structural force in the room. Then I took advantage of the original poor layout to make every space According to the abnormal configuration, the most important living room, kitchen and bathroom are placed on the side with the largest window, and the rooms and study rooms that need quietness are pushed to the back. The middle pillar can be used as an activity to separate the public and private areas.
We turned the space of the toilet into a suspended space extending to the outdoors, hoping to give each space an ambiguous sense of extension, giving different feelings both visually and in use.
Actually, my home is very simple (maybe because it is too small). This picture can describe the entire design, from left to right - Study - Master Bedroom - Living Room (Bathroom) - Terrace. In addition to defining the height difference between the room and the living room, there are also iron sliding doors next to them.
We also designed a rotating TV in the middle. It seems to be a very simple design, but we In order to prevent some circuits from being exposed (and not wanting the iron pipe in the middle to be too big), the dimensions were calculated very accurately, and the folding plate shape of the toilet floor was also used to turn it into a cabinet for storing electrical appliances.
The master bedroom is a sleeping space after all, so I hope to create a warm feeling. The floor is an island-type wooden floor (it feels more wear-resistant and warmer than super wear-resistant, but it is difficult to take care of). I use solid wood veneer with a larger texture to match the wall. Diatomaceous earth hand-brushed paint is used to deliberately differentiate the space tone from the living room space.

Because I am interested in collecting handmade glasses, I specially designed a glass box on the right side. usually You can open the drawer to take the glasses, and change the style you want according to your mood.
What I pay special attention to in my design is the space and the interface in the space. The interface is a kind of transitional space. I like the blur between them. There seems to be an extension or a hint Sexually transporting people from one space to another, like the interface between this room in my house and the living room, a black L-shaped gap is used to extend the ceiling folding panel in the kitchen.
The direction of the room towards the living room: the color tone of the public space is as follows Mainly white , a large area of white and gray with a bit of software color. The toilet on the left uses penetrating glass to make the space look larger. The deliberately raised floor makes the toilet a display. On the right is the island of the open kitchen. Because the kitchen space is small, I hope to have more storage and work space, so I removed the original kitchen wall and turned it into an open island design. I also pay attention to details when it comes to kitchenware. In addition to the aesthetics, the grooves and seams must be aligned. In terms of function, because the upper cabinet is higher, I also use Japanese pull-down hardware. It is a labor-saving function for many mothers. I also choose an IH stove for the stove. Pair with stand-up Stove, in fact, most of the ingredients can be cooked in IH stove now, which is very useful (and safe). The
sink uses a crystalline stone sink that is easy to organize. Although it is a bit more expensive, the matte black color is easier to organize than expected. It also looks good. Comfortable

Especially throughout the day, we go to the toilet constantly and take showers. In fact, we spend a lot of time in the toilet (maybe more than in the kitchen)
So I always From the beginning, it was set that my toilet must be semi-open, so I used large glass as a partition to solve the privacy problem. I used sliding doors and curtains as partitions.
In the past, toilets gave people a feeling of being unclean or dirty. , in order to create a toilet that is both functional (easy to organize) and displayable, so in addition to using Italian seamless flooring on the floor, the wall I also use 100X60 super large stone tiles to reduce gaps as much as possible (and reduce cleaning problems)
Because I don’t like the problem of collecting dirt under the toilet, I also choose a suspended toilet (only the wall thickness needs to be increased at the rear). Because the wall has become thicker, it can be just right to make a groove to put bottles and cans, which is very useful.

Because the toilet is narrow in depth, it is impossible to use a shower sliding door, so a half-style glass is used as the boundary. It is certain, and can block most of the water. In fact, in addition to the good lighting during the day, my home also has a different feeling at night. It just so happens that at night the house next to it can be used. Cover it up, and the lights from the tall buildings outside are actually quite beautiful

Every time I get home and want to relax, I take a bath. Looking at the lights from the house outside the window, there is a quiet atmosphere and an alternative healing effect
At night on the balcony at home It seems a bit strange that we did not deliberately make the balcony very bright in the lighting design, because we hope that when the space is dark, we can calm down and discover more interesting things outside.
Therefore, every time we design the lighting in a customer’s home, we focus more on the psychological aspect (this part is less likely to be expressed when communicating with customers)
