Why are daily medications illegal?

But in New Zealand , this drug cannot be brought into the country. Because this medicine contains Ephedra, this is a controlled drug and is illegal to use and supply in New Zealand. Therefore, the New Zealand Immigration Department will strictly inspect this drug. However, this drug can be imported into 20 countries including Canada and Russia.
The Chinese Embassy in New Zealand also issued a document on April 8 reminding Chinese citizens not to bring illegal drugs into the country.
Lianhua Qingwen is not the only one. In fact, in recent years, many international students have been deported or fined because of illegal drugs! According to relevant sources: If inbound passengers carry drugs containing prohibited ingredients, customs will not only repatriate them to the country, but will also impose a ban on entry for a certain period of time, and in serious cases, they will also be sentenced.
In 2020, a friend took his 12-year-old daughter to Los Angeles, USA, and brought 16 bottles of compound licorice tablets to his friend in Los Angeles along the way. This medicine is actually very common in the country. However, these 16 bottles of medicine were handcuffed directly upon entry and locked in a small dark room for more than 10 hours. The most serious thing is that he and his daughter will not be allowed to enter the United States for the next five years.
