Can toilet paper be thrown directly into the toilet?
I thought it was a matter of course, but I didn’t expect that there are still people struggling with this issue! Today, let’s talk in detail about throwing toilet paper into the toilet.
Can toilet paper be thrown directly into the toilet?
The answer is yes, provided that "it must be toilet paper!"
first said yes - the reason is the national standard "Toilet Paper (Including Toilet Paper Base Paper)" GB20810-2006. It stipulates many things, including the water absorption, moisture content, toughness, safety, packaging, etc. of toilet paper.
Another item among them is water solubility. In other words, all toilet paper that meets national standards must be water-soluble.
So what is water solubility? To put it bluntly, if you throw it into the toilet, it can be dissolved in water. It is soluble in water, so how can it clog the toilet?
From another perspective, toilet paper can only be used for cleaning after the toilet. It cannot replace aunt wipes , it cannot replace diapers, and it cannot be used to wipe your mouth!
Then why do many public toilets place paper baskets next to the toilet?
This brings us to the second thing: it must be toilet paper!
Among all paper products, except toilet paper, there is no requirement for "water solubility". Even for paper towels, the more "indestructible" the product is, the better it sells.
These non-water-soluble papers naturally cannot be thrown into the toilet.
In public toilets, I don’t know whether people using toilet paper are using toilet paper, so for the sake of safety, I simply set up a paper basket and let everyone put the used paper in the paper basket.
In addition, people in public toilets may produce some garbage, such as towels and paper packaging. Putting a paper basket in every room is also beneficial to protecting the environment.
Wet toilet paper can also be thrown directly into the toilet
A new thing has just appeared in the past two years, called wet toilet paper .
Currently there is no national standard specifically for wet toilet paper. They generally adopt corporate standards, such as Q31/0101000020C003; or the national standard "Wet Wipes" GB/T27728-2011.
Neither standard has a water-solubility standard, but in theory, wet toilet paper can be dissolved in water. There will also be clear reminders on the packaging of wet toilet paper.
So wet toilet paper can be thrown directly into the toilet.
The only thing you need to pay attention to is that because the standards are not clear, the quality of wet toilet paper varies. In order to be soluble in water, some brands of wet toilet paper are made very thin and can easily be torn when wiping your butt!
Compared with toilet paper, wet toilet paper is softer. In terms of cleaning ability, wet toilet paper is also better - it has lubricating and sterilizing ingredients inside, but it is not as slippery as ordinary wet wipes, making it a perfect substitute for toilet paper.
Auntie’s towel doesn’t work!
When we go to the toilet, the paper we encounter is not only toilet paper and wet toilet paper, but also plays an important role, which is aunt tissue! Aunt towels must not be thrown into the toilet.
Not only the towels, but also the packaging and tape on the towels must be thrown into the trash.
This is also the reason why many families also have trash cans placed next to the toilet.
Trash cans are often the biggest source of pollution in bathrooms. After using the toilet, the trash can will continuously release odor and bacteria.
Therefore, it is more recommended for home users to choose trash cans with lids. Isolate bacteria and odors with a well-sealed lid.
People who pursue quality of life can choose smart trash cans - automatic opening and closing lids, automatic packaging, automatic bag changing, and no dirty hands. In terms of sealing, it is also stronger than traditional manual trash cans.
