Taiwan's "nine-in-one" election results announced
Taiwan's "nine-in-one" election was held on the 24th to elect county mayors, councilors, township chiefs, village chiefs, etc. in 22 counties and cities.
According to the vote statistics of the Taiwan authorities’ election authority, among the 22 county mayors, the Chinese Kuomintang won 15 seats, the Democratic Progressive Party won 6 seats, and 1 seat was independent. According to the vote counting results, in the Taipei mayoral election, independent candidate Ke Wenzhe narrowly defeated the Chinese Kuomintang candidate Ding Shouzhong by a slim majority of more than 3,200 votes. Ding Shouzhong filed an "election invalidation lawsuit" with the court in the early morning of the 25th.
