How much effort has MediaTek put in to complete the feat of going from being completely lagging behind to overtaking Qualcomm by a small step?

Let’s first take a look at the chip architecture. Qualcomm and MediaTek both use the ARM V9 architecture three-cluster structure. Both are equipped with a Cortex X2, 3 A710 large cores, and 4 A510 small cores. Although the number of CPU cores is different.
