It is the Laba Festival. In order to better lead the development of mass ice and snow sports and drive "300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", at 9 o'clock this morning, the 2019 China Changchun Ice and Snow Marathon started in Changchun Jingyuetan National Forest Park.

This event is hosted by the Changchun Municipal Tourism Bureau and the Changchun Municipal Sports Bureau, hosted by Jilin China Travel Service Exhibition Tourist Sports, and co-organized by Changchun Jingyuetan Tourism Development Group Co., Ltd. The activities use ice and snow tourism, ice and snow sports, and ice and snow culture as carriers to support the Beijing Winter Olympics and enrich Changchun winter ice and snow tourism. Nearly a thousand long-distance runners, marathon enthusiasts and major outdoor sports groups from home and abroad actively participated.

Jingyue Lake in winter is covered in silver and crystal clear. This competition has four events: full marathon (42.195 kilometers) for men and women, half marathon (21.0975 kilometers) for men and women, New Year's Happy Run (10 kilometers) and Family Happiness Run (5 kilometers). Participants can enjoy the charming ice and snow scenery of Jingyue Lake while enjoying the thrill of sports. In addition to providing regular supplies along the way, the organizers also provided Northeastern specialty delicacies as the biggest highlight, such as candied haws of sugar haws, boiled corn, eight-treasure porridge, etc., which the contestants were full of praise for.

More than 50 members of the Cool Running group of Jilin Daily Newspaper Group also participated in this event. They participated in the half marathon and the New Year's Happy Run and completed them all. The Jibao Cool Running team ran passionately on the track and became a beautiful scenery. Participating athlete Wang Li told reporters: "This is the first time for my best friend and I to participate in the ice and snow marathon. Signing up for the New Year Happy Run, I feel that running a marathon amidst this thousand-mile frozen and snow-capped scenery is like entering a fairy tale. It’s just like the world, and you can still receive sweet candied haws at the finish line. This experience is so wonderful!” Marathon enthusiast Zhou Haotian said after crossing the finish line: “In recent years, marathon sports have been widely carried out across the country, and more and more people have participated. , but ice and snow marathons are rare in China, and completing the marathon this time is a bigger challenge for me."
