In terms of wind power, gusts of level 6 or above are common in Haikou City, and strong winds of level 8 or above are common in urban areas. Currently, some stations have monitored level 11 gusts of 31.7 meters/second.
And "Weipa" was obviously not satisfied with just making landfall in Hainan once, so it went all the way north and landed again on the coast of Potou District, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province around 5:40 pm today.
In the future, "Weipa" will continue to move west-northeast, then pass through Leizhou Peninsula and move westward along the coast of Guangxi, with little change in intensity. Under its influence, there will be heavy to heavy rains in most of South China from tonight to the day tomorrow. Among them, there will be heavy rains (100-200 mm) in parts of southwestern Guangxi, southern Guangxi, and northwest Hainan Island. Weak, so Weipa moves slower; but because of this, rainfall in places like Guangxi will last longer and the overall rainfall will be larger.
