Recently, the Second Brigade of Shaoxing Expressway Traffic Police investigated an illegal transportation case of tobacco. A total of 562 cigarettes were seized in the case, and the amount involved was as high as more than 70,000 yuan.

It had just entered the expressway from Shengzhou and was currently driving in the direction of Yongjin Expressway Ningbo. The place is Ningbo. After receiving the alarm, the police immediately took action and intercepted the car at Chenggong Ridge in the direction of Ningbo at 11:20, and took it to the Xinchang exit for verification and inventory.
After further inspection, the back seat and trunk of the five-seater car involved were filled with black bags, containing whole cartons of cigarettes. After counting, there were Yellow Crane Tower , Liqun , Baisha, Nanjing, Yunyan, Mudan, Zhonghua brand cigarettes 562.
According to the driver Yang, the cigarettes were bought in Shengzhou for more than 70,000 yuan, and he planned to transport them to his own store in Ningbo for sale. Although he did not have a tobacco transportation permit, he took a chance and went on the road. Unexpectedly, he was caught by the traffic police.
The police from the Second Brigade of Shaoxing Expressway immediately contacted the law enforcement department of Xinchang County Tobacco Bureau, and the case has been handed over to the law enforcement department of Xinchang County Tobacco Bureau for further processing.
It is reported that the first article of the "Notice on Regulating the Management of Carrying Cigarettes and the Use of Carrying Permits in Other Places" issued by the State Tobacco Monopoly Administration on January 11, 2008 clearly stipulates that "individuals traveling across places by car, boat, airplane and other means of transportation ( City), the maximum limit for carrying cigarettes is 10,000 cigarettes (50 cigarettes) per person. If it exceeds 10,000 cigarettes, in accordance with the "Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the Implementation of the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China": the tobacco must be transported in a safe manner. There is a transportation permit issued by the tobacco monopoly administrative department or an organization authorized by the tobacco monopoly administrative department, otherwise it will constitute illegal transportation
