Why choose to participate in the 1879 program

Because I have only paid attention to mental health issues in the past year and a half, and it was only 9 months since I really wanted to learn psychology and . I started learning from psychoanalysis. In the past month, by chance, I participated in an online group supervision class. I learned that in addition to psychoanalysis, there are other theoretical schools, and I actually experienced the disputes between the schools.

As a beginner, I feel that each one has its own reasons, and I don’t know where to choose. Although a few months ago, I also wanted to study for a degree in psychology. The purpose was not to get the certificate. The most important thing was that I wanted to get systematic professional learning. But I asked my first psychology teacher, and she said that there is no point in studying for a degree. Just do a consultation and continue to learn during the consultation process.

But I don’t have much confidence in going to counseling so blindly. Even if I studied psychoanalysis, I don’t think it’s enough for me. And I also heard from a psychiatrist friend abroad. It was said to me that psychoanalysis is too slow, which makes me feel a little uneasy about just learning psychoanalysis and then going for consultation.

It was by chance that I learned about Project 1879. I didn’t know much about the course, so I started to consult the teachers around me and my own consultant. The answers I got were: I don’t know much about the teacher, the tuition is too expensive, and it’s not worth it. Money should be spent wisely. It is recommended that you spend your money on a subject that you want to study intensively.

I carefully considered the suggestions they gave me and still chose the 1879 plan for the following reasons:

1. My psychology teachers and consultants do not know the Taiwanese teachers who teach, but it does not mean that the teachers are not good. Because they have already experienced it and don’t need to learn it from scratch, they don’t want to bother to understand what Teacher 1879 is like. It’s up to me to understand it myself. The

What are your future career plans?

Because I am a doctor who treats vertigo, and I already have some reputation in the industry in Anhui Province. I am even regarded by many people as the best doctor who treats vertigo in Anhui Province, and I have been treating vertigo for more than half a year. , more and more attention is paid to the impact of patients' emotions and psychological factors on dizziness. And I often feel a sense of powerlessness when seeing patients, because with my professional knowledge of treating dizziness, there is no way to better help them, and using drugs only treats the symptoms but not the root cause.

When I see my patients who are anxious and unhappy in life, I have a strong desire to help them fundamentally. I hope that they will not only get better from dizziness, but also that they will not suffer from my disease. The clinic also goes to the pain department and gastroenterology department for treatment because of other somatization symptoms, and we don’t want them to be anxious and in pain because of family or work reasons.

Speaking of career planning, specifically: I hope to open a psychological consultation clinic in our hospital to fundamentally help patients with dizziness and other patients with psychosomatic diseases.

Personal study history of psychological counseling

In fact, I have not really started to do psychological counseling, because after all, it has only been more than half a year since I started studying psychoanalysis. Here I will talk about my journey to study psychology.

In May 2018, my daughter developed symptoms of tics. My father and I took her to our mental health center. The doctor was also my college classmate and prescribed sertraline and Aripiprazole. If I changed, the child would be fine.

When I first participated in an family planning and workshop, I met my first teacher. I collapsed when I introduced myself. As a result, the teacher set up a family planning for me alone. I immediately felt that I wanted to study psychoanalysis that day. At that time, I didn’t understand the relationship between family planning and psychoanalysis (in fact, I don’t understand it much now), but out of trust in the teacher, I decided to choose to go to the class she offered at that time. "Let's learn psychoanalysis!" course, my purpose at that time was to help my children and my patients (by that time I had seen that many of my dizzy patients had psychological problems).

The teacher told me: To learn psychoanalysis, you must first solve your own problems, and then you should study another course "Life Growth Classroom" at the same time. I thought about it seriously and decided to enroll in two classes at the same time.In later studies, I did find that there were some pains in my life that had not been seen and healed. At the same time, I also felt that my lover's pain might be deeper than mine. This might be the reason why we often often The reason for the quarrel.

After I studied psychology for 9 months, I deeply felt that there was no one around me to answer some of my questions, so I found a psychological counselor. I am currently receiving psychological counseling, although I have just received counseling. After only 4 times, my life has changed a lot in this process. I have become better about myself. My 11-year-old daughter finally sleeps alone in her own room. My lover and I are more and more confident to quarrel. The more inadequate it is, the easier it will be for my mother and I to start quarreling without saying a few words as we did in the past.

At work:

When I was working, I used to add numbers every day, which made me exhausted. Now I am more and more concerned about myself and don't make myself so tired. At the same time, more and more patients have given me very sincere affirmation. When I see patients with obvious psychological problems, I hope to let them go to a professional hospital.

But I once visited and studied at my local specialist hospital. It was very different from what I imagined. Most doctors only use drugs for treatment. There is almost no time for psychological consultation during their daily work in the ward. In public hospitals, It is said that it is very difficult to make an appointment for outpatient psychological consultation, so I didn’t know how to refer my patients to it, so I came up with the idea of ​​setting up a psychological consultation clinic in my own hospital.

Although I am in a comprehensive tertiary hospital, we do not have a specialized psychiatric department. I will discuss this matter with my leader when I have certain abilities. I look forward to learning professional knowledge in 1879, which will give me the ability. Starting psychological counseling at my hospital from scratch.

Opinions on psychology and the industry

The one I have more contact with currently is my psychology teacher. Her major is classic psychoanalysis. She makes me feel very comfortable, but I always feel that I want to be able to see psychology.
