I just had the opportunity to stay one night in the ancient city of Linhai in Taizhou two days ago. I arrived in the afternoon of the day before yesterday and left in the afternoon of the next day. I also spent a whole day walking around this ancient city. For here, the ancient cities seem to be relatively compact, like the ancient city of Huizhou in Shexian County, and the Taizhou Fucheng near the sea is basically similar. Just when I entered the city, I walked around half a circle. The ancient city has many gates. Taizhou Fucheng also has gates in several directions. After walking around for a day, I remembered the names of several gates, such as Chongwen Gate and Xinglong Gate. , Chaoyang Gate, Range Rover Gate, etc. Of course, each gate also has its own explanation. In addition to the many city gates, there are also intertwined streets, such as the famous Ziyang Street and Ximen Street . There are also the more famous Jiangnan Great Wall and East Lake. Regarding the Great Wall, I seem to have only been to the Hanging Wall in Jiayuguan. I have not been to the Beijing Great Wall. In addition, I have been to the Jiangnan Great Wall this time.

Linhai Ancient City

As for the introduction of this ancient city, I think Du Niang has already explained everything very clearly. Here I will talk about my own feelings. I think the existence of the ancient city is to inherit some things, and I will wait for later. Visitors can slowly discover things like the square walls in the old streets, the significance of the existence of the Jiangnan Great Wall, or the special food here, etc. Of course, there is only a limit to what you can discover in one day of sightseeing. For example, there are many small attractions on the streets. If you take a leisurely stroll, you won't be able to finish them all in one day. After walking for a day, I personally prefer some sections of the Jiangnan Great Wall. I can talk about it in detail later. There are also some small shops on Ziyang Old Street, which I think are more in line with my preferences.
Therefore, it is not bad to have a few favorite points when visiting this ancient city.

The morning and dusk of Ziyang Old Street

The reason why it was called the morning and dusk of Ziyang Old Street is because I walked around in the evening at dusk the first day and again early in the morning. Looking at this old street in comparison, I found something. For example, at dusk, there are many pedestrians on the street, and there are queues of different lengths in different shops. In the early morning, the old street is very quiet, and there is very little life, because this old street is considered a commercial street in the ancient city.

The origin of the name of Ziyang Old Street is that Ziyang Zhenren came here at that time. What is worth seeing on this street is the several square walls, whether it is dusk or early morning, and the extension of the street, plus the occasional pedestrians, it feels These walls connect to something and hold on to something.

In addition, Ziyang Old Street is of course not lacking in all kinds of small food shops. Food is the most important thing for people. The local food near the sea is basically covered by the small shops here. For example, you can see places with a lot of people queuing up. You can know what kind of food is popular. On a long street, you can see many shops selling seaweed pancakes, and there are long queues for them. They are golden crispy and decorated with sesame seeds. On the top, the middle surface is softer, and the middle part is seaweed. When you bite it, the seaweed taste is stronger. It’s no surprise that people lined up to buy this.

Another photo that can be seen everywhere on the street is the picture of egg white lamb tail. Looking at the name, I am very curious about what this food is. Of course, I also ordered an egg white lamb tail in the end and saw the real thing. I always feel like I can't connect with this name, maybe it has its own story. Personally, I think the taste is pretty good. It can be considered a type of pasta, a bit like my sugar cake. You can have a taste of it while visiting here. In addition to seaweed pancakes and egg white lamb tails,
also has shrimp tails, flatbreads, and other small shops. Visiting this street, you don’t have to worry about what to eat and drink.

After talking about eating, you can chat about some spots open during the day in Ziyang Old Street. They are basically closed after four o'clock in the afternoon, so if you want to play, Take it early. Take the People's Bank of China, for example. Although it is not big, it only has two floors. There are quite a lot of things on display on the first floor, and it takes half an hour to look at them one by one. With the popularity of electronic payments, electronic deposits, etc., early savings, the evolution of banknotes, etc. are all basically available in this small museum. miniature.

Regarding Ziyang Old Street, I feel that everyone who visits Ziyang Old Street has something they like, such as the snacks on the street, the unique shops, or the cafes in one place, or those with historical stories. Exhibition halls and so on.
Ziyang Old Street is free and open, and you can visit it at any time. There are time limits for the small exhibition halls inside, so you can visit it during the day. If you like quiet, you can take a stroll early in the morning. It’s also nice to see the two-story Ming and Qing architectural styles. If you like liveliness, you can queue up to buy seaweed cakes. In terms of travel time, half a day is almost enough.

Spring outing to East Lake

Since I happened to stay next to Chonghe Gate this night, it is very close to East Lake. So while flying the drone, I saw East Lake several times from a God’s perspective. It is different from what I imagined. This East Lake is much smaller than the one in Wuhan, and of course smaller than the West Lake in Hangzhou. The whole structure is a rectangle, with pavilions and towers on the central axis, and bridges connecting them. Came here the next morning and took a stroll along the central axis.

Let me talk about the angle I like about East Lake. The aerial photography of the buildings on this central axis is still very beautiful, Qiaoyun Pavilion and Lake Center Pavilion. The best time to take aerial photos of East Lake is in the morning and evening. The light is soft, the lake surface is beautiful, the vegetation is rich in color, and the light and shadow of the pavilions and pavilions are just right.

You are not a true man if you don’t visit the Great Wall - walk the Jiangnan Great Wall

Come to Linhai Ancient City, I think the most unmissable thing is to walk the Jiangnan Great Wall. After walking around, I felt it was worth it. The route of this tour is from the Range Rover Gate and out from the Chaoyang Gate. The total time for taking pictures is more than three hours. Normally, if you only visit on foot, almost two hours will be enough.

Jiangnan The Great Wall was used as a defense against foreign enemies and as a flood control wall. The overall drop and slope are not too big, and you won't be tired after walking around. There are eight enemy platforms from beginning to end, and each enemy platform has displays or performances. If you take a closer look, you can learn more about the story of this ancient city. This can be regarded as a gain from visiting the Jiangnan Great Wall, not just walking.

The best section of the Jiangnan Great Wall is from Chaoyang Gate to the No. 3 Enemy Tower. The scenery is relatively beautiful, and it is easy to take pictures. There is a plum garden next to the city wall, and it is also very beautiful when the plum blossoms are in full bloom. The extension of this section of the Great Wall is also very good. If you find a good angle, it is very suitable for taking photos and checking in. For example, the curved Great Wall between Enemy Tower No. 3 and Enemy Tower No. 2, and the few trees are very impressive. Enemy Tower No. 3 is also very suitable for drone photography. The gap between enemy platform No. 1 and enemy platform No. 2 is also very noticeable.
In addition, the rooftop between Enemy Tower No. 3 and Enemy Tower No. 4 is also a good place for aerial photography. People who have aerial photography equipment must not miss this good place to take pictures.

Regarding the Great Wall in the south of the Yangtze River, there are many historical allusions to it, so I won’t go into details here. I will briefly mention a few places that I think are good places to take pictures. I hope it will be helpful to those who come to visit.
