2018, here it comes. Just like every year that has passed, it comes with joy and goes with great fanfare, but when it goes, it goes away, and its replacement will be another new sun and moon. Just like at this moment, we no longer mention 2017, but we forget that we were deeply moved by its departure not long ago.
Don't blame people for liking the new and hating the old. The past is just a shadow left in the memory, and everything in front of you is the real existence.
For example, this city and us living in this city. There is a huge crowd and too few acquaintances. In fact, I am just a stranger living in the city. When you don’t know my life, my background, and everything about me, can you open your mind and get to know me? If it were you, would you do the same thing?
Walking in the crowd, there are all unfamiliar faces in front of me. Wandering in a city far away from home requires enough courage to face loneliness and frustration. The city is so big, like an endless net, and we are all fish struggling in the net. No matter where we swim, it is just fateful futility.
Trekking on the edge of indifference, you can only learn to endure it. Only the nights used for longing are peaceful. I miss my relatives and friends far away, and the warm faces. Only in front of them I am not a stranger. Apart from them, even people who once loved each other have become strangers when they meet again.
The world is so big, all strangers are inevitable, there is no need to feel lost. In fact, we are all strangers in this world. We need to slowly learn to know each other and learn to grow. The most important thing is that we all need a little warmth from each other to resist all the cold and all the indifference.
