Rubio played a huge role in the Cavaliers' first season a year ago before tearing his left ACL. Cleveland traded him to Indiana at the deadline as an expiring contract, but both sides were hoping for a reunion - and now it will happen on a new multi-year contract.
2:14 a.m. ET: Gary Payton II is working on a multi-year deal with the Portland Trail Blazers , his agent Aaron Goodwin confirmed to ESPN. Payton, who spent the past two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, is expected to join the Trail Blazers on a three-year, $28 million deal, sources told ESPN's Marc J. Spears. Warriors offered Payton a mid-level taxpayer exception, sources told Spears.
