This book contains 70 letters written by Fitzgerald to his daughter Scottie from 1933 to 1940 when she was 12 to 19 years old. Scotty authorized his friend Andrew Turnbull to compile it without any abridgements. Fitzgerald died of a heart attack in his apartment in Hollywood on Christmas Eve, December 21, 1940. He was 44 years old.
