Unswerving dream of becoming a judge

A medical accident at birth caused Wang Xiaoli’s right hand to be disabled, which brought a lot of inconvenience to her work and life, but this did not stop her from pursuing her dream.

In June 2006, Wang Xiaoli entered the physical examination stage with "double first" results in the written test and interview of a certain local civil service examination, but was told that she failed the physical examination. This failure did not dishearten her. Her persistence in her dream of becoming a judge made her devote herself to the Jiangsu Provincial Civil Service Examination with greater enthusiasm. In August of the same year, Wang Xiaoli passed the exam with first place in the written test and second place in the comprehensive test. Finally, with the strong support of the Jiangsu Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation and the Taizhou Intermediate People's Court, she found her dream job and became the first disabled civil servant officially recruited by the Jiangsu court system.

After entering the court, Wang Xiaoli started as a clerk and back office staff, working hard to overcome the inconvenience of her right hand disability. She completed every task diligently and meticulously, including sending and receiving cases, statistical analysis, court records, file binding, and work reports. During the trial of an infringement case caused by damage to the quality of adjacent houses due to the construction of a construction project, Wang Xiaoli went to the appraisal agency, construction station, quality inspection station and other departments many times to learn about foundation pit construction, foundation settlement, and foundation beam cracking When looking for professional questions about architecture, I even went to the bookstore to buy books on architecture and "gnawed" at the professional knowledge of architecture from scratch. In an accident, Fan Moumou, a migrant worker, was injured and became disabled.In order to reduce the burden of litigation and blunt the labor-management conflict, Wang Xiaoli gave up her weekend rest time and braved the scorching sun and heat to rush to remote factories seven times for door-to-door mediation. She repeatedly explained her interests to the person in charge of the company, and finally urged the employer to reach an agreement with Fan Moumou. A one-time compensation agreement was entered into. After the mediation was reached, Fan Moumou rushed from thousands of miles away to Taizhou to present a banner to Wang Xiaoli, regardless of his physical inconvenience.
